Syrians must pass many layers of security checks before being admitted to the United States, a process that can take two years or longer. In most cases, the refugees do not enter the United States until the very end. They are also subject to anadditional layer of checks beyond those for refugees of other nationalities; after the Paris attacks, the House voted to further tighten screening procedures. Since 2011, the United States has admitted fewer than 2,000 Syrian refugees.

aWESOME POST and lets add insult to injury and injury to insult by reminding ourselves that this cost them beween $7500-$10,000

If the terrorists aim is to damage democracy, they are doing fairly well this month. We have cities on lockdown, armed militia in the streets. houses being entered and searched without oversight, economic chaos, fighting amongst leaders, and dissent within communities and countries. Quite a coup for a few well funded radicals.

My very Southern/Redneck hair dresser visited London a few years ago with a group. Their tour guide told them what areas of the city are "unsafe" for white folks in western clothing. At one point they went on a Jack the Ripper tour of White Chapel during the day and were driven out of one area when the people in the buildings started throwing things from the windows at them.

I sure hope you dont mind --my mother has a hearty sense of humor, I just sent this to her -- it ......is............so.....perfectly.........written! Hysterical the way you wrote it ! Point heard!!

Abdelhamid, one of six children, was born on 8 April 1987[SUP][8][/SUP] in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, a suburb of Brussels, Belgium.[SUP][9][/SUP] He was the son of Omar Abaaoud, whose first employment upon emigration to Belgium was within mining, [SUP][6][/SUP] later employed as a shopkeeper, he emigrated to Belgium from Morocco in 1975.[SUP][3][/SUP][SUP][10][/SUP] Abaaoud grew up in Molenbeek, an area where "the radicalSalafist ideology has flourished among some young Muslims."[SUP][11][/SUP] He attended the selectCollège Saint-Pierre in Uccle from 1999 to 2000.[SUP][3][/SUP][SUP][12][/SUP][SUP][13]

[/SUP]
It struck me as interesting that a decade is missing !!

In 2010, he spent time in prison at Saint Gilles for petty theft.[SUP][3][/SUP][SUP][14][/SUP] For a time, sometime prior to 2013. Abdelhamid Abaaoud was involved in trading via employment with his father. [SUP][6][/SUP]
In 2013, he recruited his then 13-year-old brother Younes to join him in Syria.[SUP][3][/SUP][SUP][10][/SUP] They left for Syria on 19 January 2014, for which he was convicted of abduction, having been previously convicted of robbery.[SUP][15][/SUP]
Abaaoud and Salah Abdeslam were in prison together in Belgium.[SUP][16][/SUP]

Obama Orders Inquiry Into Intelligence on ISIS

Snip

Speaking at a news conference in Malaysia at the end of a 10-day overseas trip, Mr. Obama said he expected the Pentagon’s inspector general to investigate allegations that significant changes were made to reports from analysts at the United States Central Command, known as Centcom.

"Why It Takes Two Years for Syrian Refugees to Enter the U.S."
I didn't realize all that went into the vetting process :ohdear:

My very Southern/Redneck hair dresser visited London a few years ago with a group. Their tour guide told them what areas of the city are "unsafe" for white folks in western clothing. At one point they went on a Jack the Ripper tour of White Chapel during the day and were driven out of one area when the people in the buildings started throwing things from the windows at them.

I genuinely have never heard anything like that happening anywhere in the UK , ie. verbal or other attacks on people wearing Western clothing. I am very familiar with London as family live there.
When I meant London was referred to as Londonistan I meant that eg. foreign intell/politicians would , rightly use that term as we were giving refuge to loads of extreme individuals, under Human Rights laws - hence all the extreme faith preachers here who were "wanted" by other governments especially by states in the Middle East.

I can't think of any densely populated Muslim communities where you or I would be harassed for walking down the street wearing Western clothing so what could I say about that tour guide? I'd better not.

BUT I think you will find that Muslim women wearing Western clothing WILL be harassed by minority hardline male Muslim youth for the same, areas where they want Sharia enforced. That is something you won't hear much about . Same all over Europe - Belgian youths have also discussed it as happening in Molenbeek in reports about their lives there.

So majority moderate Muslims and majority secular Brits over here have a common "enemy " if you like. It's this we need to be focussing on. Worst enemy of all though is bad information IMO.

I didn't realize all that went into the vetting process :ohdear:

I'm so glad Caris posted that, I posted something similar 6 days ago .

These are the strictest ( not failsafe of course) vetting processes anywhere in the West.
The UK vetting is stricter than the mainland Europe vetting but we do not have all the extra checks that you have on arrival - I think we should adopt your procedures and I imagine most mainland Europeans would actually want the same.....

Our first refugees arrived in the next county to me, this week, personally, I am more concerned with the people who are home- grown , not the people who have been refugees in Jordan for 2 years.

BTW this morning I have seen 6 American and UK fighters go over my house in the space of an hour. ( I live in a low fly practice area for fighter plane training) That's much more than normal.( Govt are attempting to push through Parlt. more British air strikes by December)
