I can't help but believe that this was an inside job. How did they know her Security Detail wasn't there?

Not bashing Kim at all. I think it was probably a terrifying experience. The outcome could have been much worse. Thank God the children weren't there.

I have to say though that I am not surprised that something of this nature has occurred. I'm actually surprised that it took this long to happen. She shares so much publicly and you know where she is almost all the time. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out what jewelry she's wearing and where it is because her business is based on us knowing everything about her.

It will be interesting to see if this experience changes her business model.

I think the guys will be caught and the insider will be first.

"It had been thought that the armed gang avoided a police camera, which was not pointed at the front of her Paris apartment block and that local businesses didn't have any footage either.

However, now it has been revealed that the gang was caught on a 'million-to-one' image after a camera facing a mirror reflected their getaway.

According to The Sun, French police have now seized the footage from the Bel Ange nail salon on the same street as the apartment."

I guess being worth 9 figures doesn't necessarily mean that the rich has brains.

I would never pay 25k a month and not have the basics.

They would have been more secure in a dang Marriott or Holiday Inn or

The Hilton. Lol.

The concierge who was taken up Kim Kardashian's private elevator and opened the door to a $10 million jewelry heist has become the critical witness ... sources connected to the case tell TMZ.

-- Kim, we're told, made a point to cops that the concierge was extremely calm, despite being cuffed and held at gunpoint.

I agree with the views of martial arts guru mr Matt Fiddes, the former bodyguard of Michael Jackson, when he criticizes the quality of Kim Kardashian's bodyguard. ( I am not sure about his assessment of the apartment itself, because they problably don't let us know every detail.)

It is said that Simone Harouche, who was with Kim at the time, heard the noises and then dialled 911 and that did not work...

well for crying out loud, they were in Paris, Paris is Europe and in Europe "911" is 112.

I can fully understand that someone may not remember this during a panic, therefore this number should be in their phone and it is a core task of the security team to make sure that the ALARM button works.

Social media have of course changed the world since the times when Michael Jackson toured the world, but the basic rules for safety still apply.
A bodyguard can't be a celebrity too, or run his own reality show. If he does, he should quit working as a bodyguard.

That sounds kind of low rent to me for a celebrity wearing 10 million in jewelry.

$25,000 a month is less than $1000. A night.

Most celebrity's spend thousands of dollars per night on accommodations.

I guess you get what you pay for.

If her security was with her sisters I would think they could hire a couple extra for a celebrity in an unsecured building.

Somebody didn't do their homework!

I thought the apartment was not a rental but owned by Kanye?

If anyone saw their wedding episode, it is the same apartment where the girls were trying on their white bridesmaid dresses.

The apartment, which was originally described as a "hotel room" in an official statement from Kim's spokesperson, operates as a sort of Airbnb for wealthy people.

Kim and husband Kanye West prefer the 3,700-square-foot penthouse and stayed there when their whirlwind wedding trip stopped in Paris two years ago.

The luxury apartment costs $17,000 per night and is located near major couture houses in the city's 8th district. The building is called Hotel de Pourtales, but is known locally as "No Address Hotel."

There are nine apartments in the building, which is the former family home of Count Alexander Pourtales. While it was originally built in 1839, the residence fell into disrepair before French businessman Alexandre Allard bought the building and the annex next door in 2004 for a reported $38 million.

In addition to Kim, brands were also using the complex this week as well. Allard's brand, Faith Connexion, and Uggs held press days there on Monday despite the break-in the night before.

Who knows at this point. There has been a debate in the media about this some say he has owned the apartment for years others say it's a rental at $25,000 a month. Maybe they got special rates as a frequent user Kanye is in Paris a lot.

I would be surprised if they are actually paying $17,000 a night they may be getting "mates rates" as Kanye has been a customer for years.
