The magistrate responsible for investigating the disappearance of Lucas Tronche in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, in the Gard, in 2015, has launched investigations to examine the possible responsibility of Nordahl Lelandais in this case. Verifications will also be carried out on another disappearance in the Gard, that of Antoine Zoia, a 16-year-old teenager.
According to our information, the judge in charge of investigating the case of the disappearance of Lucas Tronche, who vanished in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, Gard in 2015, has launched investigations to study a possible trail leading to Nordahl Lelandais. He is also indicted for murder preceded by a kidnapping in the proceedings relating to the disappearance of Maëlys and for murder in the Arthur Noyer case.
Lucas Tronche, then 15 years old, had disappeared on 18 March 2015, at 5:15 p. m., when he was on his way to a bus stop in the commune of Bagnols-sur-Cèze. He was going to take swimming lessons. Since then, he has given no sign of life. There are no suspects under investigation in this case.
"Any verification, whatever it is, goes in the direction of finding out what could have happened to Lucas," according to Isabelle Mimran, the lawyer of Lucas Tronche's parents. "This is a case that's been going on for almost three years, we've never had a serious lead."
New investigations in progress to shed light on Lucas Tronche's fate include telephone checks on Nordahl Lelandais. The suspect's bank accounts will be screened and video surveillance images analyzed. The suspect in the Maëlys and Arthur Noyer cases is familiar with the Bagnols-sur-Cèze region. His relatives, especially his godchild, are living in the region, he is said to have made several trips there.
The Lelandais trail remains a working hypothesis among others and cross-checking will be essential. At the end of December, the hypothesis of Nordahl Lelandais' involvement in Estelle Mouzin's disappearance in 2003 had also been studied, then "closed". Last September, the police also issued a call for a witness in the case of Lucas Tronche's disappearance. The latter was described through a sketch. He was said to be bald and both his forearms were tattooed.
"There was a crow who sent anonymous letters, there was potentially a surveillance video that would have captured a Lucas but without us being able to find the tapes, eventually a suspect such as Nordahl Lelandais is a twist like any other and we don't know what that will yield," according to Quentin Chaix of CFPE Missing Children.
Verifications will also be carried out in another missing persons file, that of Antoine Zoia. This 16-year-old teenager has not been found since March 1, 2016. He disappeared in Clarensac, near Nîmes, also in the Gard, during a stroll during which he had to go to a tobacco store. Since Nordahl Lelandais was implicated in the murder of Arthur Noyer, at least three investigative services outside the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region have indicated their intention to re-examine cases of disturbing disappearances.
