In the picture, the banner (with the text truth for Maëlys?) is almost entirely intact, IMHO a perpetrator and fan of NL would make sure to destroy this, and not necessarily by fire. I think the possibility of an accident should not be discarded.

The gendarmes give priority to a malicious act since no candle or light garland was installed up to Sunday on the tree. However, the accidental hypothesis is not totally ruled out. Other candles might have been brought in during the night by people wishing to pay tribute to the little girl on Christmas Eve.

I don't want to brag, but I'm kind of an expert in this matter. As a kid, I made my room cosy during Christmas and I lit a candle in a plastic candleholder. I then left my room and forgot all about the burning candle. My mum went upstairs to fetch something and smelled smoke, a lot of smoke.... she found the top of my desk engulfed in flames of burning plastic.

Being a kid, I was mainly worried about my books, but these all survived. Never occurred to me (not even now!) that I might have burned down the entire attic and the roof. The parents were more imaginative though.

Accident or not, it is still a horrible sight and one the parents and family of Maëlys could have done without.

Lots of fires in this case... Some set by Nordahl, and then the others:

"During the fire of part of the technical premises of the gendarmerie of Grenoble on September 21, investigative material, vehicles and many exhibits were destroyed. Among them, seals of the case Maëlys, this girl of 9 years old who disappeared at the end of August in Pont-de-Beauvoisin, Isère, at a wedding party.

During his brief press conference on Thursday, the father of Maëlys was indignant. "We want to denounce the fire of the gendarmerie of Grenoble which almost destroyed important evidence for the investigators."

CASE NORDAHL LELANDAIS: THE FAMILIES WHO CLING TO A NEW GLIMMER OF HOPE

Le Dauphiné.com
http://www.ledauphine.com/savoie/2017/12/25/des-familles-qui-se-raccrochent-a-un-nouvel-espoir

After Nordahl Lelandais was indicted for the murder of Corporal Noyer, the Association Assistance et Recherches des Personnes Disparues (ARPD) is accompanying several families in their desire to reopen investigations.

At this stage, in Savoy, several cases of disappearances are being re-launched, the case of Adrien Fiorello in 2010 in Chambéry, and that of Nordine Seghiri, whose body was found in March 2016. But also at Fort Tamié. Jean-Christophe Morin disappeared there on 10 September 2011, then Ahmed Hamadou on 8 September 2012.

In Haute-Savoie, gendarmes will be interested in the case of Adrien Mourialmé, a Belgian national who worked in Talloires-Montmin in 2017.

In Isère, several cases have also resurfaced. That of Nicolas Suppo in Grenoble, on 15 September 2010, of Malik Boutvillain, who disappeared in May 2012 in Echirolles, but also of Stéphane Chemin, who vanished in Bourg-d' Oisans, in September 2012.

In the Drôme, Christine and Pierre Balmain's daughter's case is now emerging. All these families with no news of their loved ones, who had no leads, cling to a new hope. But no connection, or even a similarity, has yet been established in any of these cases by investigators.

Daniel Cataldi, who defends the interests of Ahmed Amadou's family, recalled last week:

"We must remain very cautious at this stage of the investigation. Audits may be underway, but no link is found for the moment. Afterwards, we will see, but in the file, at the time of Ahmed Amadou's disappearance, the name of Nordahl Lelandais never appears in the entourage of the disappeared person. Wanting to charge him with everything is manna from heaven for the defense."

GRENOBLE: A FATHER'S LONG BATTLE FOR HIS SON, DISAPPEARED IN 2010

Le Dauphiné.com
http://www.ledauphine.com/savoie/20...olas-suppo-s-est-volatilise-en-septembre-2010

For more than seven years, Yves Suppo has been searching the region and France on board his motorhome, trying to find a clue that would put him on the trail of his missing son.

Nicolas Suppo, 30, disappeared on 15 September 2010 in the Grenoble region. On that day, this young skilled worker working in a company manufacturing paramedical equipment left his workplace at about 12:30 p. m. and never gave a sign of life again.

In his apartment on the cours de la Libération in Echirolles, all his belongings were found, nothing to indicate a departure: "His clothes, his suitcases, his credit card, everything was there," his father explains.

"He was neither depressed nor runaway. He had just been through a tough time after a breakup. The kind of difficulties that everyone may have to face one day."

Her phone stopped transmitting in the middle of the day that day.

In April 2014, the investigating magistrate charged with working on this disturbing disappearance closed the judicial investigation, due to a lack of new clues on which the investigation could be based.

"I wrote to the Grenoble prosecutor on Saturday to ask for the reopening of an investigation, in view of the new elements linked to Nordahl Lelandais," the father of Nicolas says. "He is suspected of facts so close to the Grenoble region that we cannot afford to skip this investigation."

Lately I've been seeing more posts about other potential NL victims than about Maëlys. The focus should be on finding her so that she can be laid to rest and so that NL can more easily be prosecuted for her murder.

On the night of August 26th to 27th, 9-year-old Maëlys vanished during a wedding party at Pont-de-Beauvoisin. Four months to the day after this disappearance, and while the little girl has still not been found, a white march will be organized Wednesday afternoon in the streets of the Isère commune. It will leave at 15:00 from Pravaz high school and will finish in front of the multipurpose hall where Maëlys disappeared.

This gathering was started by the parents of Maëlys. "This is a way to express our solidarity with the family," says Kamel, who will participate in the white march. For Jean-Jacques, "it's very important for the family, and then vis-à-vis the offender, it's also to show him that the girl is always present in people's minds. ". A white march had already been organized last November 5th, the day of the nine years of Maëlys.

I added two more people to the list. Nelly Balmain & Nicolas Suppo. Not too sure about Nicolas, as I have this:

At the end of April 2009, he was sentenced to 30 months in prison, 12 of which were closed for burglary and burning a year earlier, along with others, a restaurant on Lake Paladru in northern Isère. He was released on parole in October 2010. Wondering "what" day he was released, as Adrien was killed; was he anxious to kill again on the 6th?

Nicolas Suppo, 20 disappeared in Grenoble region, on 15 September 2010

Wonder what date in October he was released, or was it before October? Anyone find a date of his actual release?

TIA!

IMAGES OF THE WALK FOR MAËLYS, 4 MONTHS AFTER SHE DISAPPEARED

It is raining in Pont-de-Beauvoisin. The parents are there, her big sister and about twenty members of her family. Plus all the other supporters.

"We are being held hostage. Truth for Maëlys"

That one is simple, if the dates are correct. If NL was in prison on the day NS disappeared, then NL had nothing to do with the disappearance of NS on that day.

Problem is: no one has a clue about what happened to NS after midday, or in the days afterwards.
In fact: no one has a clue about what NL did to his victims, either before or after they died. There is no MO, or if indications exist, LE are not telling.

NS would not be high on my list as a possible victim of NL.

The way I see it, is that NL is present where there is a party, a festive meeting, a nightclub or possibly a festival. He sells some drugs, he has a good time himself and to enhance the festive feelings there is always the possiblity of getting lucky, if the opportunity arises. Only in the case of NL we are talking about a different kind of luck.

So both missing men who disappeared in the aftermath of the festival in Fort Tamié are indeed on top of my list. Would there have been drugs at that festival? No need to ask. The time frame is the same. Searches were done for both men, and nothing was found. The second series of searches (for Ahmed Hamadou) might have uncovered the first missing man (Jean Christophe Morin) by accident. But that did not happen.

I'd like to know at what times he had a girlfriend.

I don't think he actually ever went to prison... just an electronic ankle monitor.

The aunt of the girl evokes a "Christmas nightmare"

"It's terrible not to know if she's alive." The aunt of little Maëlys, missing in Pont-de-Beauvoisin on August 27, told LCI this Wednesday about the nightmare that she and her family have been living for four months.

Séverine, aunt of little Maëly who disappeared in the night from 26 to 27 August at a wedding party in Pont-de-Beauvoisin (Isère), delivered her testimony to LCI this Wednesday, a few hours before the march "for the truth" organized in tribute to the girl.

She spoke for the first time, choosing to return where, on November 5, was held a symbolic balloon release for the anniversary of the 9 years of Maëlys.

"It was the first Christmas without Maëlys and ... It's hard. It's really hard," she breathes on the verge of tears.

"After the wedding nightmare, it's our Christmas nightmare. We have the feeling that our life has been a nightmare for four months. And that does not stop," she continues.

Séverine is saddened by repeated denials, since the beginning of the investigation, of Nordahl Lelandais, the main suspect in this affair.

"Only he can answer our questions in fact. Only he has certain answers, and as long as he does not give them to us, we do not move forward. "

The former 34-year-old dog handler was indicted on November 30 for murder in this case. He was also indicted as part of the investigation into the disappearance of a 23-year-old soldier, Corporal Arthur Noyer, last April in Savoy.

The uncertainty about what happened to Maëlys is particularly cruel, says Séverine. "It is terrible not to know if she is alive, if she is no longer of this world and what has been done to her, where is she? What might still being done to her ... We do not know. "

In the absence of bodies, operating modes and therefore motives, gendarmes are not closing any tracks. Several unresolved cases of disappearance will be reviewed. Starting with those in the Chambéry region, especially those concerning four men missing between 2010 and 2017. Among them is the name of Ahmed Hamadou. This 45-year-old man disappeared in 2012 on the sidelines of an electronic music festival. He knew Nordahl Lelandais while their families lived within five kilometers of each other.

Marie-France Fiorello hopes the investigation into the disappearance of her son Adrien, in October 2010, is reopened. The day the young man vanished, his mobile phone pinged in Chambéry." The investigators of the time went down there," she says, "perhaps there is a connection with the disappeared of Savoy or Haute-Savoie."

Interview with Estelle Mouzin's father:

"Your daughter disappeared in 2003. Since then, you have fought for the establishment in France of the abduction alert system. Were things also done in the dialogue with the justice system?"

There, I think there is still a lot to do. The association is trying to set up three major themes of improvement of the devices: the first is the creation of a specialized body of judges where the judges would have a broader competence than a simple file. We are also asking for a file of missing children with double entry: a public entry and a specialized investigators entry. This would make it possible for investigators to put all disappearance files online and possibly provide them with food for thought or clues on similar cases. The third point is the improvement of the process where someone who is unidentified, is buried "under X," to prevent the burial of people who have been missing, without giving some kind of notice.

An article from today, but with two (new?) details... about his shorts and the groom:

Phone and short stained

At first, Nordahl Lelandais hid from gendarmes and magistrates the existence of a second phone which he has curiously canceled the subscription two days after the wedding. However, the demarcation of this famous phone allowed the investigators to notice three round trips of the suspect during the party. The first time, before the disappearance of the girl, [Nordahl] states that he returned home to change his white shorts stained with "red wine and vomit." This garment, which has never been found, he would have thrown in a "garbage container". "I did not want my mother to know that I drink and drive at the same time," he says.

Around 3:15, during another round trip, his absence is noticed. The guests are looking for Maëlys. The groom asks that he be contacted. But the three calls are redirected immediately to his answering machine. His phone is then idle between 4am and 7am, again placed in airplane mode.

Chevaline killings and Nordahl Lelandais: his involvement is unlikely.

"Nothing is less certain," says a source close to the investigation that has worked on the quadruple murder since the first day." I do not see how he could have escaped us. Five thousand telephones bounded in one hour of time on one of the two telephone relays located on the crime scene area. And we have all sifted them, like those of the second terminal. Although circumstances did not help, as two Asian tour buses were going around at the same time, we checked everything, even the numbers leading to China. In total, nearly 10,000 profiles have been studied between our region, northern Italy and Switzerland."

Two disappearances without bodies:

Other cases are of interest to investigators. On September 8, 2012, three days after the killings, Ahmed Hamadou, 48, disappeared during a rave party at Fort Tamié in Savoy. Like Jean-Christophe Morin, 22, the year before. Barely 20 kilometers separate the Tamié from Chevaline. For these two disappearances "without body", the research section of the gendarmerie of Chambéry, which investigates the suspicions of crimes of Lelandais, approached his colleagues of Albertville and the police of Chambéry who worked on these two unsolved matters.

Nevertheless, in Tamié, in Chambéry (where Arthur Noyer disappeared in April, before his skull was discovered in September on a hiking trail) or in Pont-de-Beauvoisin (where Maëlys disappeared), the modus operandi did not correspond to that of the killing of Chevaline. According to the acts that the gendarmes carried out in the "Lelandais cases", the suspect removes his victims and then makes the bodies disappear. "At Chevaline, we are dealing with a killer of instinct," says a judicial source.m

Cold-blooded executions:

Especially since the former army dog handler is not considered a sniper: "The execution of Al-Hilli and Sylvain Mollier was carried out in cold blood almost at close range. The weapon of the crime, a Luger Parabellum, is mainly used by professionals trained in shooting. At this stage of Lelandais' personality, there is nothing to indicate that he has this ability to rationalize his actions in a situation of extreme tension. It should be remembered that the killer kills four people in two minutes by taking the time to reload his weapon and then leave the place and disappear."

NORDAHL LELANDAIS VERIFIED: NO SUSPECT IN THE DISAPPEARANCE OF ESTELLE MOUZIN

Le Dauphiné.com
http://www.ledauphine.com/actualite...le-mouzin-la-piste-nordahl-lelandais-refermee

The hypothesis of an involvement of Nordahl Lelandais, suspected to have abducted and killed little Maëlys, in the disappearance in 2003 of Estelle Mouzin, was "verified and the door was closed again," a source close to the investigation indicated on Thursday.

However, "we will never close the Estelle Mouzin file. We receive letters every week "from people who present themselves as witnesses," she added.

The lawyer for Estelle Mouzin's father, a 9-year-old girl who has been missing for almost fifteen years in the Seine-et-Marne region, had already asked the judge in charge of the file of her disappearance to contact the investigators of the Maëlys case. Maëlys disappeared on the night of 26-27 August at a wedding party in Pont-de-Beauvoisin, Isère.

In 2003, the 19-year-old Nordhal Lelandais was at the military camp of Suippes (Marne), about 150 kilometres from the site of Estelle Mouzin's disappearance.

When questioned, Eric Mouzin, Estelle's father, explained that he had not been informed of the abandonment of the Lelandais trail. However, if this result is based solely on the "exploitation of telephone data", it is not enough to negate the hypothesis of the former dog-handler's involvement, said Mr. Mouzin, who called for the creation of a centre of judges specialized in child abduction to promote the resolution of these cases.

Michel Fourniret or Eric Fauchard, who kidnapped little Bérényss in Lorrain in April 2015: every time a child is abducted or victim of an attempted abduction, checks (DNA, telephone calls, etc.) are made to see if Estelle could have crossed paths with the suspects, Mr Mouzin recalled.

On January 9,2003, the girl disappeared around 6:00 p. m. on the way between her school and her home in Guermantes. Despite several large-scale police operations and a massive mobilization by her family, the child has never been found.

Investigators found that the 34-year-old regularly visited dating sites:

The personality and routine of Nordahl Lelandais, indicted in the disappearance of the military Arthur Noyer and the little Maëlys, continue to be investigated by the gendarmes of the research section of Grenoble and Chambéry.

Investigators found that the 34-year-old regularly visited dating sites. They are verifying that no disappearance of men or women has been reported among those who came into contact with the suspect.

Registered on a pornographic site:

In addition, the investigators discovered that Nordahl Lelandais was registered according to our information on a known amateur 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 site, on which he posted videos. He would have staged himself with several young women. Checks are also made on this point.

The man, the only suspect in the case of the disappearance of the small Maëlys, had a sustained activity on the Internet. Under a recurring nickname, he also posted videos of his dogs. In the files of the disappearance of Maëlys and Arthur Noyer, Nordahl Lelandais proclaims his innocence and denies any involvement.
