Several hostages dead: media reports

French media are reporting that not all of the hostages in the kosher supermarket siege at the porte de Vincennes survived.

According to AFP, BFMTV and other sources there were a number of deaths among the hostages. It was not immediately clear if they died during the police raid or before it.
AFP also reported that a number of other hostages were critically injured.

Reports of the deaths remain unconfirmed.
French president François Hollande is due to address the nation at 8pm local time / 7pm GMT / 2pm ET.

A person was held hostage in the printshop without the hostage takers being aware of his presence.

Unknown to the hostage takers, a person hid in a closet.
He then made his presence known to the police by phone.

Sky sources are reporting that the female suspect Hayat Boumeddiene initially thought to be involved in the siege was not in the grocery and that there was a second male gunman who is believed to have escaped in the assault.

I very much doubt Anonymous needs the attention. They refuse to bow down to a certain group of people because of the chance of repercussions. Just because they feel offended at the slightest hint of criticism towards their religion does not mean they are entitled to any type of special treatment. We should never live in fear and we will always defend the values of our Western society built on freedom of expression and freedom of speech.
