Several people was hit by a car when sitting on a restaurant terrass in the 20th arrondisment in Paris. The driver managed to get away after the accident, but was arrested later, while the passenger was arrested at the scene, and the tests were positive for both alcohol and drugs.

The driver, a 24-year-old Frenchman, who has never been convicted before, was transferred to a psychiatric facility, after the police found out it could have been a deliberate act, and not an accident. One person died, and six were injured, three of them seriously.
