The French postal services are offering a unique service, if you have elderly relatives living alone and far away, you can subscribe for the local mail carrier to visit them for a chat, along with the mail, and send you a message about how your relatives are doing. The mail carriers can also bring them supplies from the shop, basic prescriptions, books from the library and hot meals. Care package: the French postal workers helping lonely older people
