Friend requests expire?

If someone sends me a friend request and I don't respond to it, does it eventually expire and disappear?

I don't know, but I will see if I can find out. As I recall you get an initial notification, then a couple of reminders. There are a variety of housekeeping tasks the board software runs on a regular basis, that could be one of them.

I could have sworn I had two friend requests come in and sit there for months (victims of my indecision), but suddenly there is only one request there. Unless I deleted it in my sleep.....anything is possible...
