No matter what you think if the Dad's criminal past, he is so broken up about his son!! His voice is cracking and he is tearing up just talking about his son. He is absolutely believable and he had NOTHING to do with this. JMO

Except for law enforcement, I do not see any of the witnesses being nominated for citizen of the month.

And, in some courts the defense would have been already been called down.

What does the baby's father's bad checks have do do with his anger management issues?

People here have said her wounds were self-inflicted. Does that not imply she was on scene and shooting a loaded gun and thus involved in the death of her child?

If someone here accuses her of shooting herself and of being more interested in the insurance money than her child, then i assume they are accusing her of killing her child.

Assumptions come from an unclear understanding of something - that's one of the reasons some will question everything until they have a clearer understanding.

I just cannot bring myself to watch this clown in action today. He makes my blood boil. I am glad to be able to get an idea of what happened by reading here. But I just cannot take the obnoxiousness and sleaziness of this defense team.

Why didn't Gough talk about AG getting out of jail just to testify? This trial is a cast of characters. Does everybody have arrest records?

I have to agree about the defense attorney, he's pretty hard to take.

Not so bright of the defense to bring Mr. Santiago to the stand. He's so credible!

I feel so bad for him. He was buying his baby stuff at the store when he got the call. :cry:

Defense is objecting so much right now. It's their witness. Defense even objected to Dad identifying his son by being shown a picture. Gosh...defense attorney needs to stop screaming! So unprofessional.

If someone says the mother's wounds were self inflicted, is it not implying she was complicit in her child's death? Please give an example of that not being so.

I do not think it is a false assumption to make, that if someone accuses her of wounding herself, that she is then assumed to be involved in her child's death.

What other reason would she have for shooting herself?

Really? Yikes. I thought it was just a courtroom act. He seems like a bully and he doesn't respect authority.

I would be surprised if he gets out of this case without sanctions. A judge can only warn you so many times. It's been like a million. I might be exaggerating the last sentence by a 100,000 or so. :floorlaugh:

Mr. Santiago stated that he held the Mom's hand and comforted her. Minister says he read about that in the paper and two weeks ago contacted the DA to say he didn't witness "warmth". Also, Minister says Mr. Santiago walked in and said why didn't you give them what they wanted, or something like that. So, why wait all this time!!!?? Defense is insinuating Dad set up the robbery. :banghead:

ETA: Mom and Dad stayed together the night of the crime. Doesn't seem like anger or lack of warmth to me. JMO

Did they say definitely self-inflicted (which no one can know at this point), or wondering if it's a possibility given the evidence thus far - two different bullets between herself and the baby - there can only be two explanations - the wounds were from two different guns or the bullets were simply different in the same gun - neither has been proven conclusively so it leads one to wonder, YKWIM?

There is always the possibility that things are not as they appear - that's what makes these type cases interesting, at least to me. I've noticed, for some, it becomes less about sleuthing and more about proving to everyone they are right. That's not fair to those who are still on the fence, no matter how obvious or just the outcome may appear to others.

and... 2 EMTs & an ER nurse from whom we learned West said "they shot my baby".... he called 2 or 3 juvie workers to tell about the 22s found in the pocket... Was there any NEW information today?

I'm watching the livestream and I just want to say I find it absolutely NOT RIGHT that the Judge just denied both ex's of Louis Santiago to be questioned in front of the Jury when THEY BOTH stated he threatened to kill the children they had together and stole money because of his Crack Habit to pay off a drug dealer that threatened his family. I think it's relevant...

The father wasn't at the scene when this happened. What is the purpose of having him testify?

I don't think I've ever disliked a defense attorney as much as Gough.

Watching him attack and try to discredit a woman who was shot, watched her baby get shot and has a few quirks in her personality, kind of makes me :banghead: too.
