I'm not finding him on NamUs and Doe Network says he was ID'd. Any info on his ID?

“In this case, we have a new tool that allows us to resize the fingerprints a little to be more accurate how it would have been the size before they perished“

So he was identified via fingerprints. This means that he had been arrested, or in the army?

Ancestry has quiet a few Steven Shelton north records around the same age. I don't have an account though.

The only one I saw that I thought might match was in Oklahoma. Records drop off for him in the mid-nineties.

If you Google his name there is anther website that said LE ruled out his name as Steven W. Shelton

He ended up being a different person with the same name first and last name.

I’m still surprised we have heard and know virtually nothing about him since he was identified. Like we don’t even know his dob or where he was born. Does he not have any family at all. If they can’t find any family maybe they can use genealogy to track down any living family members even though he was supposedly identified.

He's listed as unclaimed in NamUs so it sounds like there was no family. And he was identified via fingerprints so I wonder if he was previously arrested?

If they can’t find any family the regular way is it possible to use genetic genealogy to find any family members. Also I’m not really sure how they identified him if it seems they don’t know where he was born who his parents are or his dob. How do they know the fingerprint match is not just an alias.
