Law enforcement authorities have recently discovered the identity of a man found dead Nov. 16, 2008, in the woods behind a vacant house at 998 Atlanta Highway in Barrow County.
The deceased is Salvador Chavez, 46, from Gwinnett County.
A specialist with the Georgia Bureau Investigation positively identified Chavez from fingerprint records. Officials from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Barrow County Sheriff’s Office, and Barrow Coroner’s Office have been diligently pursuing this case since the discovery of the body.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who knew Salvador Chavez to come forward and speak with investigators. Anyone with information should call the Criminal Investigations Division of the Sheriff’s Office at (770) 307-3080, ext. 3083.

Maybe that's why the fingerprints were able to be matched??? IDK!!
Sad, still, even if this is the same person! I wonder, if he was out on bond, waiting for trial? Surely not, could be just a coincidence!
I haven't been able to find much on this case or trial results......
