New unconfirmed news reports on twitter say she and husband were separated and he wasn't living there and she made a "suicide call" to him. Says she is on life support in ICU.
This is what I heard as well. Roswell Police were called to a fight on Jan 23. When they got there they saw no evidence of a fight.

Are they now reporting that she is brain dead?

I see some wanna-be journalists (bloggers) reporting this but nothing official.

Either way, I feel very sad for this young lady.

Poor child.

They do put people in medically induced comas if there is bleeding on the brain. Perhaps she hit her head and fell into the tub?

She has just had such a tough time. Poor girl.

Looks more like an "attention"-suicide gone bad to me.

So sad....but not surprising.

I just read that they found her mother "face down",,,,in the tub.......how does a person end up face down?????

Seriously....

Reading through her instagram she seemed to be doing o.k. There were a few odd posts, but for a 21 yr old nothing extremely dark and depressing stood out. Other than every other comment saying how much she reminded them of Whitney. Very sad. She just wanted to be with her mom again I guess. It seems clear that she meant to exit this world just as her mother did.
Prayers to everyone involved. I wouldn't want to be in their shoes. I cannot imagine how difficult this must be.

Both sad and eerie. I read earlier that she was placed in a medically induced coma, but I'm not sure if that's true. I hope she recovers, and receives the help she needs. I would assume she's had family support following the death of her mom, but perhaps no professional help or counselling.

Do NOT look for this to end well.

Yes, sadly, that's what my son was saying. He was an EMT, and said if he picked up some one that had been under water long enough for the brain to swell, it never ends on a good note. :rose:

And maybe it was, but when you get so depressed, desperate, want help, sometimes this makes sense to do. You will do anything you can do for help. I'm sure the poor child is desperately missing her mom, when your mom passes, that pain never goes away, and then to be so young to lose your mom. I have a terrible feeling about this, awful.

I think as you go unconscious your legs will lose tone so your body will start to slide down from where you were sitting in the tub and then between the water and the weight of your head, you probably turn toward your side and then face down you go.

My speculation...

New unverified twitter speculation says she is brain dead and her husband has been banned from the hospital (though im not sure that is legally possible...)

Couldn't "gurgling" heard after ET placement also indicate fluid in the lungs in a drowning victim, for example, someone found face down in a bathtub?

I guess that might be possible. Thankfully have not had the opportunity to listen to breath sounds of a near drowning victim. The gurgling mentioned on the 911 call may have been before intubation.

I thought I remembered reading that Whitney may have been found face down, but that didn't necessary mean she was prostrate. She might have been sitting up, and slumped forward.

Maybe husband's accounting of what happened here isn't truthful?....

I was in one & woke up 2 days later in ICU with a catheter, tube down my nose, oxygen & heart monitor. My chest was sore where they had done CPR. I had to have a "sitter" until I was discharged. Not pleasant at all.

One of the reasons to put someone into a "medically induced coma" is so that they don't "come to" and freak out and as a natural response, pull out the ventilator tubes that are down their airways. Had a family member last month that "came through" the drugs that were putting him into the medically induced coma, freaked out around midnight, and pulled out the ventilator tubes. NOT GOOD! Did damage when that was done as those tubes down to the airways have a little blow up balloon at the bottom to keep them inserted and stable. This case, I've changed my mind as to why that was done... SMH don't think that's the case or reason for the medically induced coma... :(

:praying: ...

Kato, glad you are here

I just googled it and TMZ had reported at the time (but you know how things change) that whitney slid down the back of the tub and her legs went straight up the wall-- her head and back were underwater but her legs were straight up along the wall and were out of the water.
