I'm overwhelmed so cannot imagine how Bridget's family, friends and loved ones feel with this news. 2 years?!

It doesn't bring her back but I'm sure it is a step towards healing.

It was Bridget's birthday on the 30th crazy it's almost 2 years and there haven't been any developments.

Surprising that this hasn't matched anybody yet



Would they even come out and say that they found the person but it lead to nothing. I still wonder if it was found on her and if it was semen.

Spencer is processed into Macon State Prison. His DNA is submitted to a database.

That DNA is then matched to DNA found on Bridge Shiel. It’s also matched to the Sprite bottle recovered near Shiel’s vehicle.

Authorities secure an arrest warrant for Spencer in Shiel’s death on May 30.

O’Connor said authorities are still searching to identify another person in the vehicle at the gas station.

Her loved ones have actually said this doesn’t help anything bc they still don’t know what happened or why.

I can’t blame them, personally. I feel like I’d feel the same way.

I personally believe there’s at least least 1 other person out there who (assuming he’s alive) should be in jail, awaiting trial for her murder.

Chris Spencer was a gang member, but police have said they do not believe this murder was gang-related. I don’t get the vibe it was, either. I’m not sure it was money-related, either, bc they haven’t reported any ATM transactions during the time she was with them. But there is evidence she was being held captive when she was seen with the 2 men at the gas station, bc one of the men was driving, she was in the passenger seat and apparently looked distressed. But one of the men in the car asked someone else to go in and buy the sprite he wanted (he didn’t wanna get out of the car to do it himself, possibly bc he didn’t wanna leave Bridgette alone with only 1 other person to make sure she doesn’t escape).

I’ve read she was an escort and was all over backpage. Is it possible she met up with them for that and things went horribly wrong? Or maybe he was her dealer and she owed him some money?

It coulda been a carjacking, too, I guess, but if they’d just wanted her car, they woulda just taken her keys and let her run off.

I get the feeling this was more personal. Like she pissed him/them off, in some way.

And to the person who posted a couple posts above, I don’t think they burned her body.

I’ve heard of carjackers telling their victims to strip before they run off. I’m not sure why they do this, possibly to see if their victims have any more valuables they may want or possibly to make sure they don’t have a gun they can shoot them with and possibly to make it harder for the victims to chase them after they let them go. But I’ve only really heard of them doing this with male victims.

Female...nah. I think he wanted to have sex with sex with her. Maybe they even did (more so a rape tho bc even if she didn’t resist, the circumstances would make it so she didn’t ha e much choice) and after she got him off, she saw an opportunity and started to run and he shot at her.

Or maybe she got naked so she could run faster, maybe her dress was slowing her down.

Sometimes I wonder if murder is weird like that, it seems like once you kill someone, it’s easier to kill again than it is to kill someone if you’ve never killed before. Like once you’ve crossed that line, it’s easier to keep crossing. Idk. Chris Spencer had never killed before Bridgette (as far as we know, anyway), so to then go on and kill 4 other people in the next 5 months...it seems like something in him snapped after Bridgette.

Nooo incorrect, they were not seen with her on any gas station video. That’s why this case took so long to solve, they didn’t have much to go on.
Her CAR was seen on gas station video, but the video didn’t pick up who was driving it. But someone who saw them there remembered seeing that Bridgette looked distressed and that she was in the passenger seat and 1 of the 2 guys in the car was driving. None of the people in her car got out to buy anything, but Chris gave someone hanging around the gas station money to go buy the sprite for him. Chris and his accomplice did not want to get out of the car.
As far as I know, Spencer’s DNA was NOT found on her body, it was found on a Sprite bottle in the car, which is why the Sprite at the gas station is significant.
I don’t know if they were on foot beforehand, neither do police. It’s not even known for sure whether they knew each other beforehand.
What is known is that Bridgette was fine at 10:53pm, talked to a friend on the phone. Half an hour later, at 11:23pm, she was seen by a witness at the gas station with those 2 men. What’s interesting is that one of Bridgette’s friends also claimed to be hanging out with her around that time, bc they were supposed to go to a party together. Apparently, Bridget told her she was going to the store and said she’d be right back, then got in her car. So I’m thinking maybe whatever happened to Bridgette happened shortly before she was seen at the gas station.
A short time after they were at the gas station, Bridgette was murdered at 1:06am, likely while trying to run away.
The fact that they were likely holding her captive like that, its very possible they did carjack her, thinking she had money, for whatever reason and demanded she go to the ATM, but then they found out she didn’t but decided they had to kill her bc she’d know them now.
So much is unknown here. Like were there signs she’d been sexually assaulted by either of them? What store did she say she was going to/what store did she usually go to? Did she ever make it to that store? If not, how’d she run into these men? Parking lot? Deserted street?
