There will NEVER be a way to excuse his actions!

"Chris McNabb struck his infant daughter with an unknown object. "This action did cause the victim's skull to be seriously disfigured and damaged beyond repair"

IMO that's crucial evidence. If the crime scene is in the trailer then you wonder how CMc murdered Caliyah so quietly. If it was outside the trailer then it points to premeditation.

That's all I'll say for now since he's the only one charged. Poor baby Caliyah :tears:

Is that not standard? In the UK we have midwives visit the home until baby is 10 days then the HV takes over.

Yeah but Caliyah was prem.

All 4 of my babies were prem and in my experience I had my postnatal checks in the various departments of the maternity ward and baby obviously constantly checked so no need for visits at home.

(Ha and before any side eyes, I PROMISE my body just clearly doesn't like being pregnant)

Ughhhhhh! If I could just in Cher's words "turn back time" and in any way have saved that darling precious little girl! I'm sickened by what has happened here and in what I fear has happened in another case I'm watching in Texas right now. But this little innocent was barely two weeks old! I'll never understand.

Could her injuries have been caused by striking the bag against a tree or the ground or throwing it? Thinking back to having a 21 month old and a newborn, I do think it’s possible for a new mother to fall into such an exhausted stupor that she doesn’t hear her SO walk off with the baby. I don’t think that’s what happened here but until you know the sleep deprivation a new baby brings, along with your body and mind healing from childbirth, you just don’t know.

Newton County authorities on Wednesday confirmed four charges against McNabb: Malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, and concealing a death. McNabb, who was already being held in the Newton County Jail on an unrelated probation violation charge out of Newton County, remains in custody without bond. His first appearance before a judge is scheduled for Thursday.

Maybe Domestic Violence charges? Again trying to think of ways he is the only charged. That could also be why Mom is innocent...

I was physically abused for 8 long years... so I understand what an abused person goes through, is subjected to and is brainwashed into. that is one theory I can wrap my head around with the Mom not involved. MOO

Father planned murder, cover-up of 2-week-old, investigators say

  • #555
A man charged with the murder in the death of his newborn daughter planned the crime and the cover-up, investigators said.

Chris McNabb was served warrants Wednesday while he was sitting in the Newton County Jail on different charges.

Detectives allege that not only did McNabb kill his 2-week-old, who disappeared on Saturday, but also that he planned her murder and the effort to hide her body in a duffel bag in the woods.

Police told Channel 2’s Nicole Carr that the suspect, Chris McNabb, was not just a dad who snapped.

I can't access WSB's online news cast. Maybe someone here can? Supposedly there will be a report on this at 5.
