This case has many unanswered questions. Troubling.

If she just walked away on foot, wouldn’t the dogs have been able to pick up her scent? Especially since she was reported missing fairly shortly after she was last seen.

Maybe they did pick up her scent but lost it later on.

These cases of elderly people going missing always sadden me.

She probably wandered around for days and finally couldn't go on anymore and died of dehydration and exhaustion, yet to be found.

These cases are very very sad.

Unknown identification of remains found about 16 miles away from Lower Lovelace Rd. Officials will send them to the crime lab in Atlanta for autopsy.

I wonder if they could belong to Carol. Seems a bit far for her to wander. (MOO)

This week investigators returned to the property to once again search for any remains of Mrs. Evans. A small, swamp-like body of water on an adjacent piece of property was searched with the assistance of heavy machinery and personnel from the Troup County Road Department and a specially trained cadaver dog. After two days of searching, unfortunately still no remains have been found.
