If she just walked away on foot, wouldn’t the dogs have been able to pick up her scent? Especially since she was reported missing fairly shortly after she was last seen.
Carol Evans disappeared from her home on Lower Lovelace Road outside of West Point, Georgia, in 2017. Sadly, now two years later, her loved ones still do not know what happened to her.
Unknown identification of remains found about 16 miles away from Lower Lovelace Rd. Officials will send them to the crime lab in Atlanta for autopsy.

LAGRANGE, Ga. — The GBI has been called to investigate human remains being found in a wooded area of Troup County, LaGrange Police tell Channel 2 Action News.
Just before noon on Thursday, LaGrange Police responded to Ann Bailey Way near Scholar Lane regarding construction workers finding human remains in a wooded area.
On November 10, 2017 Mrs. Carol Evans was reported missing from her home at 238 Lower Lovelace Road and after an extensive search, she was never located. Since that time investigators have followed up on different leads along with periodic reviewing of the case file. This week investigators...

This week investigators returned to the property to once again search for any remains of Mrs. Evans. A small, swamp-like body of water on an adjacent piece of property was searched with the assistance of heavy machinery and personnel from the Troup County Road Department and a specially trained cadaver dog. After two days of searching, unfortunately still no remains have been found.
