At the bottom of this article is a tweet saying that AL was killed back in August in DC.
Have we got two separate guys?
Allegedly brothers. This is ML -
I am just dumbfounded!

Lord help me! I scanned through these articles and missed the whole thing. I went back and reread your posted article. So, we have brothers, arrested ML and deceased AL, both involved in violent crimes this year.

Yes. Anonymously reported as brothers.

Anyone else found a LinkedIn page for ML? Sure looks like him (imo) but ??

And, I'm wondering if ML attended Kennesaw Mountain High School.

Kids in that neighborhood go to Kell High Scool- per Google search of the address. I have no idea where he went.

Records pulled by Channel 2 Action News confirmed that Lanz lived in a home on Delphinium Boulevard.

That home is directly around the corner and shares a backyard fence with the home where Hicks and his wife were killed earlier this week. Their 2-year-old son was unharmed.

The Hicks family just moved into the home on Verbena Drive in September. Justin Hicks had served with the Cherokee County Fire Department for six years.

A man with the same last name and address as Lanz, 27-year-old Austin Lanz, was arrested for breaking into the same home on Verbena in April. The home was owned by another family at that time.

According to warrants, Lanz assaulted multiple deputies, injuring two of them, as he was getting booked into jail.

The break-in was the culmination of months of Austin Lanz sending harassing and threatening notes to the previous homeowners on Verbena Drive, according to the Associated Press.

At one point, Lanz had duct-taped a massive cardboard sign on the home’s front door that said, cryptically, on one side: “I’m done wondering for real” and “Wut is the point of that” on the other. Police had given him a warning to stop the harassment before he was eventually arrested.

Oh my Gosh!! So the folks who lived in the Verbena Street home before the Hicks family, were being harassed by Lanz for months. They leave and sell the home to the Hicks in September. I guess a real estate disclosure isn't mandated - hey a couple crazy brothers live behind you, one of them harassed us for months before cops would finally arrest him, but good look with that o_O

Truly a tragedy and seems so preventable :(

Austin Lanz (deceased) was harassing the previous owners of the home. Austin's (reported) brother Matthew Lanz has been charged with the murders of the Hicks'. One has to wonder if they were brotherly-partners in previous crimes.

Austin was a strange looking young man, wasn't he?

AL was harassing the previous owners of the home... not ML who has been charged with the murders of the Hicks'. One has to wonder if they were brotherly-partners in previous crimes.
Right I got that, I said - "a couple crazy brothers". I'm interested in learning about their parents, had they sought help for these two? Was this behavior drug induced? It would make sense they have "partnered" in some sense. He killed the folks who lived in the home his brother previously targeted.
