OR maybe they did and it was guilty so they decided to sleep on it rather than have to stay for however long it would take. They have to be exhausted.
This often happens, I think. I heard say that juries in Georgia don’t stay late, unlike the Boone jury.

IMO the first shot was in the house, and grazed Gary. He ran out of the house trying to get to the neighbors, whose house is just beyond the burn pile. She shot her final shot in that area, got the Kubota, and shoved him in. There’s a path between where the Kubota is stored and the burn pit.
There was blood on the Kubota.
The prosecution would have been better off using this theory. That MF dragged 300+ lb 6'4" Gary up a flight of stairs and out of the house is not believable. The one shot found in his rib cage tissue did not kill him, where is the other bullet and why was it not found in his body? Too many questions left unanswered by the prosecutor.

Re: the question about Scott being suspicious; the state did not do enough to prove their facts.

Unfortunately there were more than just a few important points that needed to be made to the jury loud and clearly.

I’m unsure at this point if she will be prosecuted.
IMO the hard facts were in the electronic dumps. Scott wasn’t at or near the burn pile. Most of the time he was on the road to the lake. The rest of the time, he was asleep (no phone activity). The barn is far enough away that cell/Google data could separate between the barn and the burn pile.

Followed but hadn’t chimed in yet, however I have to agree that she’s likely guilty, totally tried to frame her son, either had help or the first shot in the house and then killed outside and moved with the kabuta - but I’m not sure what the jury is going to do- I feel like P convinced me that she did it, but I’m not sold on their story of how she did it- if that makes sense- moo

Throughout the three-week trial, defense attorneys have pointed to Scott Farris as the likely murder culprit. They noted he said his gun was missing and was the only one who possessed the same kind of bullets as the one found in Gary Farris's ribs and one found on the floor of his bedroom.

It was also unusual that Scott Farris deleted footage of himself on a trail camera located on the property at the same time his family was searching for his father, defense attorneys argued. His sister, Amanda Farris, also testified of Scott Farris having few friends and bouts of aggression after returning home from the military.

Scott Farris was the first to notice the human remains in the burn pile and to report it to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office on July 5, 2018.

IIRC didn’t they recover the deleted footage and nothing incriminating was in it?

Jury Requests

  • All the boards and the pieces of paper as Judge Cannon described
  • They depict the Farris family tree, Rusty Barton’s interview dates, and aerial photos of the property
  • These will be sent back with the jury

Evidently the digital analyst on the stand right now was able to recover the deleted trail cam images and there is nothing incriminating on those images.
It was early in the thread that I’d seen it- still looking for links…

I can agree to that but there was some blood found upstairs too, maybe first shot, and on steps down to basement. Given that where is that bullet??

I'm finding comments by others that there was nothing on the deleted footage. Could he have making sure nothing was on there?

I honestly don’t know why he would have deleted it, unless perhaps he suspected someone and was just panicking and did it? I really don’t have any good theories for that … moo

I watched Scott's testimony and he stated it was "habit" to check the trail cam and delete whatever images he found on there.

It becomes a habit. The memory card will get full and not take any more pics if you don't.
