Melody destroyed this family. Evil woman to point a finger at her soulful son for murder, trying to get him in the house right after the murder, so he’d be a suspect, and then causing him to find the remains. Imagine being set up by your mother for murder.

FWIW IMO Melody looks absolutely gross in orange. I do, too, so I have a feel for this. My guess is, she’ll be garbed in a different shade in prison.

MF says scott killed his father.wow....MF had a lot to say about things scott did and things she saw of his movements. He failed polygraph test. She is telling a whole different scenario of what happened. Judge admonished her but is going to let her finish and then let the state question her. Never saw this before. If she had taken the stand I guess this would have been her story. I'm going to have to rewatch all this.....
She wasn’t allowed to say anything about the facts of the case. She’s Boone-ing her statement.

Wow! That was quite a statement by MF. I can't believe that the judge let her say all of that.

I got the impression that the judge wasn't convinced of her guilt. JMOO

It doesn't matter. He let her provide 'testimony' during sentencing, when she had declined testifying during the evidentiary portion of the trial. Even the judge said she should restrict her comments to factors that would affect sentencing, not evidence as that was not appropriate. And yet he let her continue on talking about her version of evidence.

If she truly had that much information about things that happened and had that much to say about it, IMO there is no reason her attorneys would have advised her not to take the stand in her own defense. Who sits back for an entire trial holding on to something that would exonerate you from a life sentence and then try and get that information out during sentencing. It is sad that the judge didn't stop her.

It doesn't have to matter to you. It was my personal impression.

Does anyone know what the comment made by the judge towards the end of the proceedings meant? Around the 1:40 timestamp he said something to the effect of "execute a (non pros?) indictment based on the conviction in this case"

I have to say that I've always wondered how MF could have put her husband on the burn pile alone. Thoughts?

If he was killed in the house I don't see how she could have moved him alone. JMOO

I came upon this case knowing nothing so I heard everything like the jury did. I wondered how she moved the body and thought Scott might have done it but changed my mind when the data proved where everyone was that night and thought that she found a away to do it.
I don't believe that she was told this and that about remaining quiet and then stayed quiet. Certainly if she felt she was not being defended sufficiently and there was more to the case, couldn't she have told someone about what she knew and demanded that she testify.
If she saw all of that movement by Scott wouldn't she have told RB or her other children, her mother, or her attorneys in private conversations.
She is a cold, heartless person, a narcissist, a chameleon, whatever! Of course she was nice when she wanted to be to who she wanted to impress or gain gratitude or recognition.
I guess it will either stand as is or be appealed or she will be granted a new trial if new evidence is believed to be there. She can appeal on, if nothing else, ineffective assistance of counsel if ahe feels that way.
This tirade could be believed but it really makes no sense to me that at the 11th hour she is trying to offer new evidence or change a verdict and expected it. She wants what she wants when she wants it. She is the only victim here.
I'm still confused as to any estate there is if any or who is in charge of it.
All JMO.

I am really surprised the judge didn't order that she is not allowed to profit off of her story and stated that something like that would be left up to a civil trial judge. If I didn't know better I would think this judge just gave her a green light :(

We discussed a few theories in the thread. It's possible he wasn't killed inside the home... he could have been forced at gunpoint to the burn pile and murdered there. The Kubota tractor could have been used to push him onto the pile. Or he could have been wounded inside the home and then forced to the burn pile. And, of note, there was access to outside from the lower floor of the home... which jurors would have seen when they visited.

#BREAKING: Convicted Killer #MelodyFarris continues to blame her children for the murder of her husband Gary ahead of sentencing. Scott and Chris in the gallery shaking their heads - throwing hands up. Everyone gasped. Family is crying, state is objecting.

oh, it was my impression too. My comment was more about how he shouldn't give that impression. Sorry if my comment came across the wrong way. I could have worded it better.

“She made her children find his body,” said prosecutor Meaghan Frankish about Melody Farris.

WHAT?! Convicted killer Melody Farris is STILL trying to convince everyone that her son is the real killer. Wow. Just wow.

This. Is. Unbelievable.

What a despicable person, to murder her husband in cold blood, then try to frame her own son, and today, further traumatize him by lying in court, claiming he was the one responsible and that he framed her. How much more evil can this woman be? She even threw her own Mother under the bus. I truly believe she would have betrayed any of her children, but Scott was the most convenient target, simply because they lived on the same property.
