When will people learn? Divorce is the answer, not murder.

I’d be interested in seeing a psychological analysis of the people who make the decision to murder. What is it that makes them think that they will not get caught?

She’s wearing a suicide dress, but maybe all recent murder convicts have to. They made her strip the makeup, and the salon haircut has gone by the wayside. I’ve always wondered, is she missing top front teeth? The area above her lip has an unusual configuration.
Then, I have a dermatology question. Can a blemish like the one in her right cheek be removed, or is that kind of blemish not removeable? It would require stitches, yes, but she was used to having expensive dermatology and plastic surgery treatments, yes? I think it’s odd to keep it, if you have money and it's doable. She definitely has enough vanity where I’d think she’d want to.
She looks 70 in that photo.

I’m pretty sure that it is a blind mole and not a blemish. It can be removed and the scarring would differ depending on what is below it.

As far as the skin above her lip, it is peculiar. There has to be an explanation to it, it’s not normal. It reminds me of when the dentist puts cotton rolls under your lip. In the family photo for the wedding, it isn’t like that.

It was mentioned that Gary did not want a divorce. Something must have happened to change his mind. Maybe when she moved in with her boyfriend he grew concerned about the finances.
Yes, she took out a home equity loan on their house for $50k. She gave the money to Ted. After that, Gary didn’t allow her access to any accounts. She only had a debit card, and every expense came up on his feed.
Incidentally, she used Gary’s debit card the night of the murder to buy minutes for her burner phone.

I find it odd that she didn’t remove it.

IMO we need a dentist or plastic surgeon to explain that upper lip. You can see the outline of her gums, I think. Your teeth wear down as you age, which can create a strange profile right there, but she could easily have addressed that with dental surgery.

Right?!? I can’t get my head around how people will choose murder as the option vs getting divorced and or learning to co-parent with an ex-spouse-so much damage and risk- especially in these wealthy suburban situations- I don’t get it- who actually thinks that they are that smart and not going to get caught and it’s worth destroying so many lives??? (Rhetorical question-… sigh) - just sad for the family
moo
It's called DILUSIONAL!!! She is a special kind of miserable. You can tell by her conversations. She must have been on the phone all day every day, either complaining or gossiping about the other kids business. Not good.

I’m surprised that it’s never been removed. It’s not a difficult procedure, I’ve had one removed.

As far as the possible dental issue goes, that too, as you said can be corrected. I find it odd due to the nature of her vanity that she wasn’t bothered by either.

Good for her for being okay with who she is. I give her credit for that ‘only’. She doesn’t fit the typical narrative of a mistress. I wonder if the men were more attracted to her financial portfolio.

I’ve done a lot of thinking about the evidence in this case. I’ve listened to the 2 juror’s interviews and I’m embarrassed to say I don’t know how I missed a fact one juror brought up — him burning in that fire didn’t happen quickly. There is NO WAY with her living in that house and being there that she would not have noticed him on the burn pile. Also one does not burn that badly without the fire being tended to. It’s just not possible. Someone had to be tending to it. If it wasn’t her, then who? How would she not have noticed someone else messing with the fire that much? After listening to the jurors and doing some research on citronella, I am now convinced it had to be her. I don’t feel like the son had motive and she would have seen him around that burn pile. And the comment she made to Rusty about how he shouldn’t have been burned that badly. I just don’t see any other option.

She also said that a cremation shouldn’t be that expensive for someone who is that badly burned.

The cost that was discussed was 8K. She told Rusty that she wasn’t paying for it and if the kids want to they can pay for it.

I do remember that and was thinking how cold/unfazed she sounded talking about it.

Right, she couldn’t just be respectful of a person’s death. That is how she felt about his death so that speaks to how she was while he was alive. She is a hateful woman.

RSBM - I've seen one juror interview of Bethany on CTV. Could you possibly point me in the direction of where I could watch the second one? I have searched youtube but haven't had any luck finding it. Thank you :)

Here is an interview with the defense team for anyone that might be interested. I wish someone would get an interview with the prosecutors.

Went back to listen to her first police interview and didn't realize she told the police that she is the one that asked Scott to go check the trail cam. I was under the impression that the DT tried to insinuate that it was Scott's idea to check it. Seems like she was trying really hard to get Scott to walk back past that burn pile so he would find his dad.

CourtTV did the second one as well. Let me see if I can find it.

I’ve looked and looked and can’t find a video of it. The video was done by Michael Ayala. It was the same day as Bethany’s interview, just in the evening. It was right before Closing Arguments came on. The gentleman juror wasn’t in the studio, he appeared to be doing it via Zoom or something similar in his home/office.

The only thing that really stood out to me in this interview was the DT made sure to state towards the end of the interview that Scott had failed a polygraph test. I wonder why they want to throw that out there when their client was just convicted of the crime?

IIRC she also half insisted Scott come into the house (the day after?). She used a bogus excuse to get him back from the lake, so he'd be there while the pile was burning. She was setting up Scott multiple ways.

Sorry, this is off-topic, but is anyone following the trial of Chloe A Driver for the murder of her 13 month old? Simply asking here as it's also a Cherokee Co GA trial (as was Melody's case). I can't find a thread but I know that in Dec 2020 the stabbing was discussed here on WS. 'Would love to know more about this case... and would love help finding a link to the original story here. TIA!
