GUILTY GA - Eight family members brutally murdered in Brunswick home, 29 Aug 2009

  • #181
The link worked for me. Maybe we can understand why he's been jailed. Is this guy for real? He removes a shotgun from the mobile home and puts it in his trunk? He gives bogus info about his whereabouts on Friday? There could be a reason, maybe an illegal one not connected to the crime, but it sure doesn't look so hot for him right now.

But what logical reason could there be? So he goes in and sees bloody bodies everywhere in his home but he has foresight to remove a shotgun during all of this? If he wanted it for protection then why wasn't it where he could easily access it in case the "killers" returned instead of in a locked trunk?

And why on earth would he feel the need to lie about his whereabouts when he knew LE would verify it?

He may not be guilty but something is not right.

I just cant see any family member once seeing that horrendous carnage being able to remove a gun as he had to walk around all of the devastation in that home to get it.

If you got to the GCPD portal or the The Brunswick News they have listed all names of the people shot.

One reason I feel Heinze Jr wasn't one of the actual attackers is his 911 plea to get fast medical care when he discovered the 19 year old was alive. He wouldn't want a live witness if he was one of the perps.

Bless her heart her entire family was wiped out. I just don't understand and can't wrap my brain around why she would let all her kids live in a situation like that if she knew drugs were involved at the home. That's assuming she knew drugs were involved. I guess I just need more info on her at this point, I've been wondering where she fit into all of this. This crime is horrible, I mean they all are, but this one has me baffled.

But didn't they tell him to go back in and see if they were breathing?

He couldn't very well tell them they weren't breathing knowing the EMTs were on their way and would find them.

When a family member starts lying right out of the gate I do find that very suspicious.

Cassi, did the mother speak out?

Have we determined how the Heinz and Tolars are related?

I read that Heinz Jr. is expected to be in court Wednesday.

Hopefully the police chief will have some vital evidence by then.

I believe it was said early on that the two older men were half brothers. So the different last names.

What a tragedy. I hope justice is swift.

Taken from news4jax They also list the names
Those killed included 44-year-old Russell "Rusty" Toler Sr., four of his children, his half-brother and two other adults. One other victim -- a young child -- remains in critical condition at a Savannah hospital.
"My dad's dead, my uncle's dead. There's like six. My whole family's dead!" Heinze said,

I'm thinking Heinze Jr took the shot gun out cause he knew once the police arrived he could no longer go in or out of trailer till they were done and may have needed the gun for his own protection. JMO

Thank you, how sad.

I wish I could believe that but I don't at this time. Maybe more will be revealed and I will understand. I also find it strange that they all seemed to be there but him. I guess I could understand it somewhat if this family were major drug dealers and Heinz Jr. was a big player in it.

Does anyone know if Heinz Jr. has a criminal record?

Why would he have a need to lie about his whereabouts? He had to know this case would be huge? Why lie from the get go?

Has it been said if the family was shot with a shotgun?

Yes, I hope the PC gets the break soon.

I have a feeling though that they know where this is heading already.

There could be several 'reasons' for taking the shotgun... but none of them really smart. He may be involved someway, but do you guys think he could have been a shooter?

I really don't know dgfred. I hope he isn't. It is hard to know but LE said that the murders most likely happened 6-8 hours before he called 911 that morning.

I noticed that in the 911 call he says he has to call his brother so there must be another brother left besides Jr.

I also found it rather odd at the amount of times he told them he wasnt home and had just gotten there.

It's for obstruction of justice and for lying about his whereabouts.

I still think Guy Jr. may be an idiot (and who knows how we would react in such a situation) but I don't think he's guilty of murder.

BTW, the reporter for Savannah News, Tuquyen Mach, is posting constant updates on this case on Twitter.

Oh, and I can think of one reason for taking the gun and it's not for protection.

And does this really sound like a killer (from the 911 call):

On the call, made from a neighbor's home, Heinze begs an emergency operator to send help for one of two survivors whose face was "smashed in" but was still breathing. Heinze says the survivor's name is Michael and that he has Down syndrome.
"Michael's alive, tell them to hurry!" Heinze said. "He's breathing! He needs help!"

Evil monsters did this. Attacked some one with downs syndrome and a 3 year old. Good grief.

It was in the article you posted above. Assuming that it is accurate.

I don't understand how one person, alone, could have done this. Has it been confirmed that they all were shot?

There had definitely be more than one perp. I jam ust wondering who in the household was the actual target of this attack.
