The family of missing Macon man Emmanuel Stroud, Sr., continued their search for him on Monday.

Stroud was reported missing on June 18 after family had not heard from him in days.

On Monday, family and friends searched a wooded area off Pershing Avenue where his car was recently found.

The car was completely empty without signs of foul play when authorities searched it.

Stroud's sister said that Stroud was cooking dinner on Father's Day and told his family he would be back shortly. However, he never returned.

Stroud is described as a black male with black hair, weighs 240 to 260 pounds and is 6'2" to 6'3" in height.

The human remains found in Macon on Thursday have been identified as a Macon father who has been missing since June 18.

He is Emmanuel Stroud Sr., 57, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones. He was shot once in the left side, Jones said.

It was reported that Stroud was possibly moving out of where he was currently living on Shakespeare Boulevard with relative, according to a sheriff's office news release.

Emmanuel Stroud Sr. was murdered by two teens who were arrested, according to this news article:

Tree-trimmers found his body by an abandoned house. His accused killers were 16

I bolded the Sr. because Emmanuel Stroud Jr. (his son) was murdered in September, 2017. LE doesn't think the two murders are related.
