Father charged with murder after missing 6-month-old baby's body found; bond denied in court appearance
Antonio Pearce, the father of Nnakai Pratt, faces a false statement charge currently related to his missing son's death.www.11alive.com
At least this little one is now safe.Nnakai’s twin sister is now in the custody of Department of Family and Children Services.
He was last seen with his dad, who claimed he was taken in an armed robbery while they were in the car. (Nnankai in the passenger seat). The dad has already been taken into custody for a few other things (One of them was child restraint violation, can't recall the others off the top of my head.), and has been named as the prime suspect from inconsistentcies in his story. I just read this article, and it appears that the father has seven charges for/relating to Nnankai's death, and the Mom has been taken into custody too. (D: Antonio Pearce, M: Necolette Pratt)Like you, I'm wondering WHO saw him last and at what time/date, and also who reported him missing. A child that age would likely have been reported missing by either (1) parent, either full time or part time custodial (2) legal guardian or (3) caregiver (babysitter). I could see a sitter not knowing the weight, but the parents should have been able to clarify and correct that immediately. I can not fathom a situation where a child was missing where the parent(s) wouldn't have ensured police had current and correct inforamation as to a physical description to find their child.
