I haven't seen any updates
I really think a professional search organization like Texas Equuasearch needs to be called in to search that brush. AFAIK, family searched the woods first week but they didn't have very many people searching and not being professionals they could have missed something. Professional SARs will walk fingertip-to-fingertip and be crawling through the brush on their hands and knees. I doubt anyone got into that over-grown area. It should be cut back to see if anything is back there. If not her, maybe something belonging to her or a piece of her clothing could be found.
LE searched the woods but I don't know to what extent. I agree, they need to get a professional search team in. I'm thinking there is a cost for them and I'm not sure who would ensue the cost.
Has the Quality Inn & Suites been searched? I see SM reviewed this hotel as well as the Courtesy Inn.
Probably the family would have to pay for it. They have themoney they raised for a "reward", they could just use that and continue to raise funds to put up for reward.
Will the FBI allow it?I really think a professional search organization like Texas Equuasearch needs to be called in to search that brush. I had the SAME feeling! VERY telling indeed!I don't see why not. It hasn't been declared a crime scene. A SAR should probably ask the FBI however if it's worth searching around the Inn at all. They may have leads they are not disclosing and could tell the SAR not to waste time and resources searching there. I had a crazy thought when LE were shown on the news surrounding the Inn. What if the GBI did all that for show, to see how a POI would react to them being at the Inn again? Maybe I watch too many crime dramas, but I thought the results of them being there again were VERY interesting...
I think they indicate that an available woman "lives" in the room an is available for a man's pleasure for a price. Those black butterflies... could they be bats for Halloween? Maybe people live there, and their kids made them in school? I don't know, I just think it would be awfully ballsy to have such a thing on your window if you were trafficking or prostitution or anything illegal. If it's a sign for such, then LE probably knows all symbols and stuff they would use.
Whatever is the case, I wouldn't want to have to live in that place. And I sure wouldn't want to stay overnight in it. I think I'd sleep in my vehicle instead. JMO!

Just knock on the door and maybe you will get lucky!
That is all I could come up with.
Who knows?
I don't know what the issue is with this case, other than the details regarding her disappearance being sketchy, but this is how a missing person case is usually handled. That thick brush area near the chain link fence....IMO....no body in there. It would be pushed down by the weight of the body if so. And it's almost impossible to put anything under that type of growth. Though as someone who does TNR (trap, neuter, release of feral cats) I bet wildlife or cats enjoy that area. Even trying to set a trap into that type growth is difficult.
I don't know how Heather can be found, but I sure wish she was. I wouldn't know where to even start a search though. All these missing people sure make me uneasy when I go out trapping by myself though.
That is how she is being portrayed.I absolutely think the butterflies are being used for identification purposes. I don't know how easily they can be removed, but possibly taken down when a room is being occupied? LE may likely know the meaning, but if you look at all of the ladies in the area that are on Backpage, seems like it would be a heavy job to go after all the prostitutes. The drugs would be a bigger concern, but generally they go hand in hand. I keep going back to the interview of the resident there in which he stated "one of the girls" when talking about the disappearance. Not "a girl" or "some girl" or even referencing her by name, just "one of the girls".
That is how she is being portrayed.
The officer could have said they were looking for Waldo if they wanted to. "One of the girls" would cause men not to ask any more questions.
She wasn't IMO.
No matter what some want us to believe.
I can't link to the page where $ is being raised for information leading to Heather, but if you will take a look at the last sentence in the first paragraph.
Is that a typo?
