Search for missing hiker underway in Whitfield Co.

A search for a missing hiker is underway along the Pinhoti Trail in Whitfield County.

A sheriff's department spokesperson said a call about the missing person came in around 3:15 pm Saturday.

The Whitfield County Sheriff's Department and the Department of Natural Resources are searching for the person.

I hope this has a good ending. It seems recently that those who are "missing" turn up deceased. (Not by another's hand but by mother nature).
