GA - James Brock, 45 and Kristin Brock, 41, double homicide, Carroll County, 20 February 2025 *Arrest*

Looks like the warrant/charges were dismissed on 2/21/2025 because Kristin was deceased as of 2/20/2025. So I guess the charges were still active? (Document preview from PeachCourt so this is the best copy I can make without paying for a copy.)

Wow, the case was open for that long?
I wonder who brought the allegations. They both seem to have gotten their lives together over the past year or two.
What a terrible, tragic mess.
IMO.

CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. - A 17-year-old girl has been charged with the February murders of her mother and stepfather in a Carroll County case that stunned the quiet rural community of Tyus, just outside of Carrollton.

What we know:
Sarah Grace Patrick, the teenage daughter of 41-year-old Kristen Brock and stepdaughter of 45-year-old James Brock, is facing two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

Do you know what town/county those charges are out of? I'd like to see if she was convicted or if the charges were dropped.
Thanks!
I posted those charges back at the beginning.

Kristin and James both struggled with addiction previously. They found God and each other and their lives changed. It’s not hard to fathom that Sarah may have suffered trauma as a result of her childhood.

I’m not in any way defending the fact she allegedly committed two cold blooded murders. Merely pointing out there is more to the story which if this case makes it to trial- will come out.

Yes, I had thought the same thing about the addictions past. While not an excuse, it may be a factor, as is potentially true also of her having a 6 year old sister who is the biological child of the parents' union and may have been perceived as favored. Speculation only, and all just grist for the mill.

Ashley Hulsey, a spokesperson for the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed the arrest during a Tuesday news conference.

"We don’t know what goes through the mind of a child who wants to harm their parents," Hulsey said. "She’s 17. She’s kind of been out on her own. She’s lived with different family members and moved all over the place."

This from the article suggests the teen was living a chaotic life. Law Enforcement have also said they do not rule out further arrests. This makes me wonder if boyfriend or any friends were involved, even after the fact.

New to this case - do we know if they have the gun?

This interview with LE PIO and Grandpa, states the five year old heard the gunshots, but Sarah said she did not.

Kristin’s Dad Dennis, does not believe Sarah killed her Mom and James.
I'm wondering just how well her grandfather knows her, how much he's been in her life.
He says "I've always liked Sarah".
Odd thing to say about your granddaughter.
IMO.

Ha! Thought the same, very arm’s length statement?

Have we ever heard from Kristin’s Mom?

It definitely is. It makes it sound like he knew her casually as a neighbor would. It's very telling because you would have expected, "She's my granddaughter and I love her and know she's not capable of this", etc.

Supposedly there is a mountain of evidence. Maybe the lack of a strong denial is evidence he is not convinced of her innocence. But publicly wants to show support.

I haven't been able to find info on her mom at all.
IMO.

That makes sense, thanks.

This does not look good for her at all.
The few facts which were revealed at the onset of the investigation, pointed to the killer being someone known to the family, IMO. I just didn’t expect it to be the daughter.

It will be interesting to hear the facts unfold in this case. I want to hear about Sarah’s history as a child. Not to excuse, but to understand, why she murdered them in cold blood.

Agreed.

I am not defending the daughter or condoning her actions IN ANY WAY, but this statement in the article makes me wonder what may have been going on long before it got to this point.

Someone archived her original TikTok and saved the archive as sgrace0482_
I just skimmed it a bit. Eye-opening. MOO

And just like that, her TikTok account is gone.
Someone recorded and archived it. I don't have TikTok but I can view it.
