GA - James Brock, 45 and Kristin Brock, 41, double homicide, Carroll County, 20 February 2025 *Arrest*

Someone archived her original TikTok and saved the archive as sgrace0482_
I just skimmed it a bit. Eye-opening. MOO
Her comments on her aunt's TT were even more eye-opening. Since SGP's TT was taken down, the comments were deleted, but they are very "searchable" elsewhere. As recently as the very end of June she was commenting about what happened and hoping the killer(s) would be caught.
She also talks about the fundraising done by her grandfather for the funeral etc...
Still waiting on an arraignment date.
IMO.

I'm wondering just how well her grandfather knows her, how much he's been in her life.
He says "I've always liked Sarah".
Odd thing to say about your granddaughter.
IMO.
Especially since at this link, she's described as bouncing around and staying with lots of different people.

Curious if there was a boyfriend her mom and stepdad disapproved of, and the murderer went ballistic ?
Also wondering if there will be any more arrests.... and what clued LE onto SGP ?
Imo.
What a savage act to commit for someone so young.
And to think, she let that younger sibling find the bodies.
Unforgiveable.
Omo.

Rest in eternal peace, James and Kristin !

She had an ex-BF and a current BF.
The ex is the one who was arrested on drug/gun charges a few days before CCSO issued the warrant for her arrest. He was released a couple of days after his arrest.
IMO.

Looks like SP is now showing up in the PeachCourt system (search under Carroll County).

Wow! This explains it all! Kristin and James put these kids through h*ll for years. The court system grossly failed the children by not granting the real Dad full custody which he fought so hard for. Disgusting behavior!! Every paragraph of this article made me more and more appalled the children weren't saved from Kristin and James years ago. Terrible!

Those allegations were years ago. As of the time of the murders, Doniel and Kristin still shared custody of the kids. Doniel also apparently had his own issues, according to the article.
By all accounts, the Brocks had turned things around, got sober, were faithful to their church, and were moving forward. Nothing in their past excuses their violent deaths.
The fact remains that the Brocks are murder victims, shot multiple times while they slept, and their five year-old daughter found them. Sarah is still the only person charged with their murders, for now.
IMO.

From what I gleaned from that DM article the child cruelty arrest warrant happened four years ago, Kristin's relapse of prescription meds three years ago. That's fairly recent. And the fact they were regulars at the church does not meam much to me, sorry. I've seen many, many bad people for whom church and faith were just a facade, hiding very ugly things.

Child cruelty (at least here in GA) doesn't mean that the kids were physically abused. If they witnessed an argument that was threatening, it can lead to a child cruelty charge. Four years ago... they got sober two years ago from what has been reported.
Are we going to excuse their murders due to their issues, which they were trying to overcome, and succeeding?
Nothing excuses this.
They are victims.
IMO.

ETA that the Brocks are murder victims.

According to the article from DM linked earlier Kristin attempted to hit Sarah's father with a car, with Sarah being witness of it. It's way more serious than just a threatening argument.

I am not trying to excuse a murder, but I am not ready to condemn a child that was begging for years to be kept away from her mother and the mother's bf, for very valid reasons.

Sad that the children lived in such turmoil.

Sarah's stepfather. Not father.

So according to that article, the last custody change was in late 2020 and father was given custody during the week and mother was given visits on the weekend. So why wasn't Sarah living with her father as ordered? The younger brother lives full time with the father and according to some of Kristin's own social media, she's said that she hadn't seen him in a very long time and missed him.

She had options, no matter how much she supposedly didn't want to live with her mother. Live with Dad as ordered, wait a few months for graduation and move out, but NOT "kill them in cold blood while they were asleep - and let your young sister find them."

Lastly, Sarah's social media portrayed the exact opposite of someone who hated her mother enough to kill - both before the murder and after.

Plus, if Doniel couldn't/wouldn't bring her to live with him, where was the now vocal grandfather, and why couldn't he or someone else step up? She was eleven years old when she wrote that letter to the court, so her father knew that she could submit another letter if needed within the past six years.
There is a whole lot going on behind the scenes, locally. I'm in the next county over, with mutual friends of their family, and most folks here are very unhappy about the victim blaming.
We'll see what happens and what is released leading up to trial, if there is one.
IMO.
