Why would someone go through the trouble to put a heavy frame back in its usual spot, empty? Why would they care where it goes?
It feels like someone who knows her or the family as the putting back/locking up seems like guilt or concern where there might not be if it's a total stranger, just my thoughts.

I was thinking the same thing!! Certainly one wouldn't think by hanging the frame back up, no one would notice the tapestry missing...

This is true. Only someone who feels somewhat guilty would hang it back up. It's almost as if the person thought, "I'll bring the tapestry right back, I just borrow it for a while", and "Oops, now I made the glass all smeary, let's just wipe it." Someone cared enough to do all this.

I'm starting to wonder whether Jenna herself took the painting - but for what? And with whom was she there? A boyfriend? What were their plans in the middle of the night with this painting?

Would it make a good backdrop for photos? (Only thing I can come up with.)

I did check with Tmobile , but they purge all location info after 24 hours. She did have a second phone we discovered and not sure what she used it for, but police will be checking both accounts for last call / text activity

T-Mobile sometimes uses other towers, and a supeona can be done for a cell tower dump. At least they will have all the phone records if not the pinging. (I assume now that they have tried to ping, and have told you the results?)

ETA: Capebluff's post #54 above is a much better resource and it a 2017 publication.

Wvangelderen--What kind of cell phone(s) does she have? I know you said TMobile is the carrier, BUT, with iPhone AND Androids OS & features, ones location can be traced up until it was powered down. This information isn't disposed of in the same manner that carriers do.

Very worried for Jenna and her family and friends. Wvangelderen my hopes are with you.. What a horrible scenario, first to hear she is found and then not... What is with the stolen painting? Do you have an explanation/theory for that at all or are you wondering too? If you don't want to share this...respected. Could she have a double life, own somebody money? I find it strange that she had two phones. (I have two; one private and one for work, but according to what you were saying it seems like it surprised you, so not a logical explanation?)

I also wonder...she took her purse and phone, but no chargers...staying over for the weekend, she probably has taken at least a clean pair of panties and other clothing. Were there any clothes left behind/found or did she took them too? Or was her own apartment very close and she decided that she was not going to sleep at her parents house after all?

What sends me into high alert that something is very wrong is the fact that Jenna seems to be such an animal lover--I am very very much the same way and I would NEVER leave a cat that needed medicine.

More than a few odd things going on with this case :waitasec:

IF there is foul play involved, I think the missing tapestry is to throw people off scent, give them something to focus on other than finding Jenna. MOO. Jenna's dad has put a photo of similar tapestry to the one missing on his Facebook.

How close together are the houses in the area? Would neighbours be able to hear commotion/screaming?

I have some theories butttttt I'ma sit on my hands here :silenced:

The missing tapestry is such an odd angle .

I think the family should add pictures of the tapestry to the missing fliers and distribute them to local pawn shops or any other places that would buy something like that.

I have a possible scenario in mind but not sure if I can share it. It's not intended to speak ill of her, just an idea of what could have happened.

Especially the careful way it was removed, then frame hung back on the wall. With all due respect, I think Jenna may have been involved in something her parent's know nothing about.

This is so strange. Not only taking the painting, but hanging the heavy frame back up. That is odd. I hope she is found

Our thoughts as well. It was an Egyptian tapestry / buffet cover from around WWII . Never had been appraised so don't know the worth, but its a very odd thing to take. It was in a heavy frame, carefully removed by breaking a small piece of the glass and frame hung back on the wall. The frame definitely takes 2 people to put back up. Glass on the frame appears to have been cleaned as well, very odd

Her toiletries and what not were all still in the bathroom as well,

Is the tapestry frame the sort of thing that could be hung back on the wall by a man (by himself) of moderate to high strength? Or is it just simply I'm possible due to its length to do it without two people?

Or is it possible that the glass was broken & tapestry removed with the frame still on the wall? I would assume something that heavy is anchored pretty well.

This case feels as if Jenna had some sort of mental break and is missing of her own volition and perhaps with someone she has met online imo. If that frame is heavy and took 2 to manipulate and her dad mentioned she is heavily suggestive then I believe she met with someone looking for money and convinced her to take it and pawn it and run away with him/her. Jmo

I think she is safe and will most likely return soon.

If it was not for the tapestry being removed I would think Jenna might have gone to get breakfast Sat morning and gotten carjacked or something like that.
I had wondered if she may have gone somewhere to see the eclipse but if that was the case she would have taken her chargers.

How big is the tapestry? My ex husband has one from Turkey that is the size of a blanket. I'm wondering if it would be possible to take the tapestry out of the frame without removing it from the wall. If I'm not mistaken most tapestry frames are just pieces of wood without glass.

Well, that throws my theory out the window. I'm sure there were other items nearby that would provide a criminal fast cash. Why take only the tapestry? Strange.
