brother SP is having a discussion on his FB page if anyone wants to read? He's clearly defending RB and believes in his innocence.

I am doing some SERIOUS creeping on people's pages that knew him & his brother that is the same age, people that they went to high school with. They have a lot of interesting things to say about him...

Didn't a family member (his brother?) say he was "good with kids"?

I'll bet he was - pedophiles are experts at grooming their victims before they assault them.

Like Michael Jackson and Sandusky are good with kids, they just love being around them? :banghead:

Didn't the brother who gave an interview outside of his home, say Ryan had worked at Krystal (restaurant) before he moved to Canton?

At this early stage, barring any new information. I feel for Bunn's family. No one ever believes their loved one could commit such a heinous crime and I wouldn't be suprised if they encounter some back splash.

I feel the GBI has conclusive proof they have the right guy. The prosecuting Attorney seemed very happy with the evidence he will have to use thus far and Kennan seemed very confident.

It also would not surprise me if there was child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 found in his apartment or on his computer. It seems like this type of crime is fueled by fantasies of the sort that took some time to develop.

I was happy to hear that the GBI is going back several years to see who, what and where he was. There may be sexual abuse victims or worse in his past.

Has anyone heard whether Jorelys' Mom regained custody of the siblings?

BBM...

Logically I agree that this is likely true. Obviously, he had some kind of murder fantasies that he acted upon -- it is not as if he woke up one day last week and said, “I’m up for a change of pace, I think I’ll try murder!”

The question in my mind, and likely everyone's mind, is what inspired this. He might have had kiddie 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on his computer, but it seems to me that blaming this on kiddie 🤬🤬🤬🤬 is as intellectually lazy as blaming a conventional adult rape or murder on adult 🤬🤬🤬🤬, or video games, or rock music. It is at best a symptom. At best.

Ultimately though, and I say this as someone who spent several years working intimately with some of the most dangerous psychopaths and serial killers in the western united states, I am not sure that it matters. Some people are just bad -- and I am aware of the irony of saying something that intellectually lazy myself after being critical above. Hypocrisy, thy name is Chris.

"We are confident that Brunn is the killer and that is why he is in custody," Keenan said, declining to detail what evidence investigators have against him.

http://www.star-telegram.com/2011/12/07/3576720/funeral-set-for-ga-girl-who-was.html

GBI Director Keenan would not be confident that RB is the killer unless there is forensic evidence (DNA - i.e. RB's seminal fluid found in the victim's body) that links RB to the rape & murder of little Jorelys.

RB's family members can deny his involvement til the cows come home, but a Judge would not have issued an arrest warrant unless there was compelling evidence that RB is the perp.

When did the manager's son drop out of sight? I think it would be quite interesting, and telling, to find out it was between the time she went missing and when they honed in on this 🤬🤬🤬.

He might well have dropped out of sight while he tried to wrap his brain around the idea that his roomate was a dangerous murdering psychopath. And his dropping out of sight might have been nothing more than hiding and talking to the police.

I read back to about March on his facebook. He was going back and forth with someone and I think it was a brother now that I know the names but it was a rival I thought at the time. This one was dissing him about no job and how he had a big name company he was working for in Ark? and how much money he made and a girl was what I thought commenting also & trying to get his attention but he just didn't relate to her comments the way I thought a person would, but heck that's nothing. I have no idea what lead up to this dissing as my computer crashed before I was able to read it all again. Next I knew, he was following games again, then was suddenly moving for a job after that guy made fun of him not working and someone who I think may have been a sister said something like glad you are moving out finally and not living with mommy. Something to that effect. I think the rival also mentioned "mommy".

Then he was leaving and on the road to Canton to make the $1200/month in free rent at an apartment complex that a friend got him a job at. Some posted they would miss him, the girl played some kind of mind flirting game with him and then he was in Canton.

Just posting what I think was said. I have some op's but would love to read that 50 plus comments again in the order they were posted. It was interesting. It appeared to me from what I know now and read of those comments, he was chided into doing something at 20 with his life other than live with his mom. He did state he had moved out previously and was just living with his mom due to some circumstances. Maybe jail, I thought?

Very proud of the LE, GBI, CART team, and all who worked to catch this guy ASAP. TG they found the perp! You go people!

RIP Jorelys.

somewhat O/T, but I was on Fox 5's website & saw the link to a video of John Walsh speaking of precious Jorelys. Thought I would share.
http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/dpp/news/local_news/John-Walsh-Talks-Jorelys-Rivera-20111207-pm-pk

I'm very pleased that they're so sure this guy is the one. I'm really surprised at how quickly & efficiently everything was done. I thought FOR SURE we'd hear some crap of them just "bringing people in for questioning" but with no arrests, as this is how many other cases of precious children being murdered go cold. I'm really anxious to hear what kind of evidence they have that makes them so sure it's him.. must be some sort of DNA evidence since they said they're almost positive it's him.
I definitely didn't see the fact that he's only 20 years old coming into play.. I thought for sure (just based on statistics) we were most likely going to be looking at a white, male, late 30's to early 50's who most likely lived in or around the complex, and who had offended before.
Ever since last night, the theory of the "maintenance man" really started to make a lot of sense. People have said that he's lived there for close to 4 weeks... that's more than enough time allowed to the sick SOB to observe & figure out the times in which she was outside playing, or walking home from school.. and lets be honest, he's probably introduced himself to her in a former instance, and her only being 7 years old, probably thought nothing of it except that it's just him being nice.
I'm 20 years old, and my mind just can't fathom this happening.. sure, 20 years old, you're considered to be an "adult", but you haven't had NEARLY enough time or experience to even know or understand what you're doing with your life..
I'm really just wondering where it came from. If he's never been in trouble with the law (other than underage drinking or whatever), then what on earth made him want to do something like this?! The people that commit crimes as horrible as this was particularly have a very dysfunctional past/childhood... and smaller offenses leading up to the really big one (like this) that they finally get caught & punished for.
I'm sorry, I don't care what any of his family says.. they can talk to interviewer after interviewer until they're blue in the face about how "he'd never do something like this. he has no criminal history!" .. yeah, he may not have a criminal history on file.. but, if LE has this guy, and they're nearly 100% positive this is her killer, then there is a lot his family has left to learn. A 20 year old guy doesn't just out of the blue decide he wants to torture a 7-year old and end her life in the horrendous way he chose to. There just has to be events leading up to this.. whether they went un-noticed, or weren't reported, he's done something before.. and LE, or anyone for that matter, needs to find out what it is. Might I add the fact of how impressed with his life he was? Apparently he was so proud of himself for landing a maintenance job & living in his own place.............................. big deal. Seriously. He was probably living there rent free in exchange for him working around the complex, that's how it goes down 99& of the time.
If he was so proud of himself for living on his own & growing up (according to his FB, thanks JVM), he wouldn't be wasting his time stalking 7 year old girls and torturing them.
I'm also very concerned with how loosely the keys are handed out to employees that work at River Ridge. I know that in order to do his job, you probably WOULD need certain keys in order to make sure every aspect of that position was completed daily. But, correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think handing out keys to vacant apartments and such to a 20 year old BOY who's only been living/working there for a MONTH. I call him a boy because no true MAN would ever have the heart to do something so cold.

BBM- I'm pretty sure they have lots of DNA evidence, but I was also wondering what led them to arrest him so fast...with absolute certainty that he committed this horrific crime. (Thank goodness they did!!!) Then as I started reading other posts about his roommate, whether he is missing in action, possibility he is an accomplice, etc., I started wondering if the roommate saw RB in panic mode after he had disposed of Jorelys (when she was still considered missing), or noticed something (or many things) that raised his suspicion (blood, knife, etc.), but did not really make the connection until he heard the body was found.

Could it be possible that the roommate gave LE the information they needed to start the snowballing of evidence, and one discovery lead to another...with all signs (including DNA) leading to RB? If you think about it, this roommate probably saw a lot living with RB...he can provide lots of insight. IMOO- perhaps this is why LE is so sure they have the right person. Further, this might explain why the roommate has not been seen, as other posts have suggested. Maybe LE moved him somewhere safe after he gave them the information (which could have been a lot, considering they lived together)....KWIM? Otherwise, wouldn’t they be suspicious of him too initially? LE seem pretty certain that they have the situation under control...

Not sure how this theory fits with the timeline, but it's just a thought I had...and of course it's all MOO!!

Fly high, little angel...you don't have to be scared anymore. I know you will be protecting your sisters, who must be so frightened and confused...
