Here is the video i mentioned. Two kids easily lift the mat in a vertical position.
You can't hear a thing. I find the video really eery actually. Thinking about how someone could be screaming for help or dying like that and conceivably no one would hear them. Is it an accident or a perfect crime? :-(
If that is what happened in a case of bullying, act of vengeance, or a prank gone wrong I find it very easy to believe people would :-X have a lot of stories, no answers, difficulty remembering and lots of technical difficulties.

Thanks for that. It is insightful. It may not be that two guys tipped up the mat that Kendrick was in but it shows how easy it was for them to do it, no sounds, no screaming, No one would hear or see him.

The more I see the mats or mats like that, all rolled up and the tube like that, I wonder if he could even see the shoe at the bottom? Was there a light shining on that particular mat?

It may have looked easy in that video to tip the mat up or down, but I can't imagine trying to walk it to the back of the stack, along with the other mats. If he was rolled up in the mat then why bother to move all the other mats and stick him in the back row?

The bullies who don't care that they are on camera beating someone up would not hide the body......because...they don't care.

It is too common to find bullies beating up kids on a school bus, or any bus for that matter...but it's not the same thing - not the same mind set of someone who would go to a great deal of trouble to set someone up to be killed, and then take calculated risks to hide the body. All the while this individual must be certain that the powers that be will cover for him, just in case no one believes it was an accident.

Even in the Danziger case the kid waited until school was out and then killed the teacher in the one area he knew would not have cameras, inside the bathroom. He didn't kill her in the classroom, even when all the kids had gone home, it was too risky.

That is just a theory on what they may do. Many people do bad things knowing they are on camera but then hide the body..

The killing of the teacher by the kid, He did it just out of the reach of cameras, hid the body. But knew he would be eventually seen on video..

Could be just like this.

Right....why not just unroll one from the front, or even two deep? How did the perp know Kendrick's shoes were in that particular mat? Kendrick was not carrying shoes into the gym, so his other shoes were def somewhere in the gym.

just wanted to thank those of you on each side of this case for sharing your thoughts and your knowledge, and the links you've found, etc.

It has gotten pretty heated in here so I have decided to stay quiet but even after reading everything, my gut still tells me there is more to this than an accident. "Gut" is emotion based, not science or fact based, but I am not satisfied with the science of this happening as has been posited in different theories.

I just hope that Kendrick's family and friends find the peace they seek, and are able to accept what is ultimately decided/ruled/evidenced as to Kendrick's death, regardless of anything else. No matter what, this kind soul is dead and his family is hurting. It is good to know that there are such passionate people on both sides of this - I hope the folks conducting the "investigation" have as much passion for discovering the facts.

Beatings and murder yes, not hiding the body, but that does not mean it did not happen in this case.

My feelings on what happened to KJ not being an accident, have NOTHING to do with the photo of him. I didn't even see the picture until a few days after I read about him.

It seems a little strange to me with all the doors in the gym that are shown on the property map, there are only three cameras? Two show who went in and out but only one inside the gym that doesn't even give us the full picture of the gym?

In my mind, there are way to many unanswered questions which lead me to believe this was not an accident. We are all entitled to our own opinions.

If KJ were a member of my family, I would fight as hard as I could to get all the answers I needed to know FOR SURE what happened.

Only a couple of the mats were blue, the rest, judging from all the videos, were yellow. He likely put his shoes in the blue mats just for that reason, easier process of elimination. Plus, if his mat were on top when laid horizontally, then it would stand to reason his would be closest to the wall when uprighted and stored.

As for us all having the same invincibility factor, I have to respectfully disagree - I've seen too many episodes of jackass.

TBH, I wouldn't have guessed before this case that it would be impossible to get out of a cheerleading mat like that. I would have thought you could wriggle out. I've learned a ton watching the videos and reading about this. There are plenty of situations where I might think "No way anyone would get in that situation" but someone else, sure enough, thought they could jump across something and fell (as an example). Everyone is different, so there is no way to know what KJ "knew" would happen if he voluntarily went head first into a mat.

I also think the school's official text already proves that they were attempting damage control early on. Stating we had a "scare" today and still under lockdown.
A dead student IMHO is a lot more than a scare.
Not very sympathetic. Our system went through a few pretty bad things ( students deaths at home, a superintendent suicide, parents, classmates, car wrecks teams cancelled due to fights and bullying ) I would term the event of students finding another student's deceased body very traumatic for everyone . And beyond freakishly rare- Why did they say scare and not a tragedy ? So sketchy

I really would like to talk back and forth a lot more. But will be sleuthing from the sidelines for the time being.

Sorry but that is just your take on it. No one knows what he was thinking or what he did that day. There is no facts to support he used blue mats or yellow mats. Jackass is a show about people trying to make people watch them. People wanting to be insane. It has nothing to do with this. Look at that guy in the mat that the PP showed us. Look how tight he was in there, How hard it was for him to move even when laying down. There is no way that KJ was going in there 6 feet to the bottom, upside down and thinking he was going to be able to back out, No way. OMO but it is just not rational. I believe someone helped him in and left him there.

Completely true however there are things that some people will try and most won't. This is a most won't. How do I know that? Because I have never heard of this kind of death before ever.

It is just impossible to go down a tube face first 6 feet to the ground, Sliding in when your shoulders are wider than the mat, and then back up and out.
