It did me too. I am not sure what I was expecting, but I know it wasn't that he had bound her. Poor Janell, what the heck did you have to endure in your short life?

I'm so happy to see them extra charges but poor Janelle must have been in terror. Why did they have to do this to this sweet beautiful girl.

This was very heartfelt to read. Both the police and coroner said emotive quotes.
My heart hurt to read she was bound. I am glad to hear the pastor still being loudly vocal for precious Janell and justice.
So relieved to see the woman has been charged.

I'm sorry for just jumping up here but... i was following her case from the beginning and to the end i had that not reasonable straw of hope that as long as she wasn't been found than maybe, by some miracle she is ok and alive somewhere... and will be able to run away from that nightmatish "home" of hers and be safe somewhere.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The stepfather of Janell Carwell, Leon Tripp, is scheduled to be back in court for arraignment on March 23. There is no word on when her mother, Tanya Tripp, will face a judge.

RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Leon and Tanya Tripp were indicted today on updated charges.

Authorities say the mother of Janell Carwell is now facing 2nd-degree murder charges. In addition, Tanya Tripp's past charges are of concealing the death of another and hindering the apprehension of a fugitive. Tripp originally told investigators that she didn’t know where Leon was. Investigators say she “harbored and concealed” him.

Wow. We don't have death penalty here so it's hard to have a proper opinion on it but I must say Niner that's great news.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse .... This leads me to believe perhaps Janell’s remains actually showed signs of torture, even after nearly a year underground. And where was her little sister while all of this was going on ...?

“Additional charges were added after Carwell’s remains were found in the grave off Golden Camp Road. Tripp and his wife are now both charged with murder. Tanya Tripp is accused of causing her daughter’s death by failing to protect her. In addition to murder charges, Tripp is accused of cruelty to children for binding his stepdaughter’s limbs. Both are accusing of concealing Carwell’s death.

A cause of death has not yet been determined.

Paine filed the notice of the intention to seek a death sentence based on two statutory grounds: the murder was committed while Tripp was engaged in kidnapping with bodily injury, and the murder was ‘outrageously or wanton vile, horrible, or inhuman in that it involved torture, depravity of mind or an aggravated battery on the victim.’” (BBM)

With those charges and the information quoted above - are they saying he did in fact kidnap her from the home in the middle of the night and do his evil things. And the mother is charges for failing to protect her child as well as the whole disgusting cover up. Am I reading that right ?
I had been wondering whether they were both involved in this from the start ? And he just took her to be buried in someone else's yard - this part is hard to get my head around. Didn't anyone hear ?
I guess we would have to assume they found no evidence at the home.
Cvaldez has bought up pregnancy a couple times and it makes sense. The mother let him kidnap her from the home.
Vile absolutely evil beings.
