*Tanya Faye Tripp (35/now 42) "mom" arrested (5/23/17), charged & indicted (3/13/18) of 2nd degree murder, concealing a death & harboring a fugitive. Plead not guilty.
$500K bond.

2/23/26 Monday, Jury Selection Day 1: Jury selection began Monday. About 60 potential jurors came in. That will be the pool for the jury & three alternates. Judge Charles Lyons just read to the potential jurors the charges the Tripps are facing: Malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault-family violence & concealing death of another. One potential juror was quickly dismissed because of a relation by marriage to the DA. Potential jurors were answering a list of questions, one by one. The first group of 60 was told to return at 1:35pm. Meanwhile, another group of 60 was told to come back at 3pm. The remaining group of potential jurors will need to call back after 6pm to get their instructions for Tuesday. A total of 3 potential jurors were dismissed. Trial continues with jury selection on Tuesday, 2/24/26 @ 9am.
