GUILTY GA - Lori Arrowood, 42, Liberty County, 25 Sept 2010

The Florida line is only a 45 minute drive from Gumbranch.....Has anyone looked South? There was not a whole lot to do in this area until the last few years. You either went to Savannah or you went to FL. I do not remember the name but there are a bunch of outlet stores right over the line that everyone used to frequent for clothing...etc.

Tanger Outlet Mall in Darien...it is not at Florida line...it is between Savannah and Brunswick. Is still there but a struggling outlet mall.

need to know Lori's cause of death. I too had looked at Jennifers case this would have made Kenneth approx 20-21 yrs old. I need to find a way to find out what he was doing with is life in those years. I know I had found others area he had resided such as Shaw AFB and Sumter SC . From Athens to Shaw its 3 hours and 40 min and to the Hinesville area its 4 hours and 6 minutes. I also think looking at some of the Savannah unsolved and missing will be important as well.

What exactly were his dutys ? Did he transport ever ect?

Based on his current age, the information that he had worked at the jail for 14 years, I am assuming he probably only did 4 years in the military so would assume he wasn't assigned to too many AFB in 4 years time....?

I don't know if I believe they are doing this "just in case."

If they are... these guys have a major guilty conscience for not connecting him to Gail sooner. A few serial killers have put all their victims in one area, but not very many.

He obviously told them where they could find Lori, nothing they found in the house led them to that precise location.

He obviously knows he's going away for life anyway.

I wonder if he also told them Gail was in the same area? Or possibly they found a journal which mentions going to that area on the day Gail disappeared?

Authorities Search For Remains Of Missing Long County Woman Gail Moody

Long County Sheriff's Deputies, Emergency Management Offiials and GBI agents have set up a search in a wooded area off Stewart Hodges Loop. It's in the vicinity of where the body of Lori Arrowood was found last week.

Agent McDaniels says investigators plan to spend several days searching.

I agree with you concerning Lori. From the very beginning, although LE will not confirm a confession during their interrogation, it did not pass my attention that immediately after interrogating him, they charged him with MURDER.....they did not charge him with 2nd degree or manslaughter (if his defense would eventually be self defense or accidental)...they charged him with MURDER....

THEN....they retrieved the body. They KNEW he committed MURDER......BEFORE they retrieved her body!

But in the case of Gail, had he given them any information about where he placed a body, he would have additionally been charged in that case....

I do think it is possible that he is also responsible for the death of Gail, but don't think LE has the evidence yet...

The video is only a 12 second clip. The interview is airing on the 6pm news. Just in the 12 second clip when he says he was told she was missing, he breaks down. The interview will be hard to watch I am sure.

Husband Home From Iraq Speaks Out On Wife's Murder

Nathon Arrowood talked about the helpless feeling of getting notification of her disappearance and being on the other side of the world and unable to do anything. He also talked about his suspicion of his wife's friend, Kenny Lumpkin and Lumpkin's involvement in the search.

"How could someone have the audacity? How? To face family, to face her daughter -- it's beyond me," he said.

Nathon Arrowood said he heard from Kenny Lumpkin last week during the search while the army was trying to get Nathon back home.

Lori's Obituary

Lori was a beautiful woman who was full of life. She was a great wife and mother and was always smiling. Lori was "tough as nails" when she needed to be, but was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her love for the outdoors was second only to the love she felt for her children and her husband.......

The above underlined is what I am most interested in hearing about. I suspect we are going to eventually learn that some had suspicions about Kenneth even before Nathan was deployed....

It's probably going to be in the line of Lumpkin making himself to available and being too helpful and always find a way to be around but yet posing as he was helping.

I just spent the ENTIRE day reading this thread and the links and Loris FB page. What a sad and tragic thing this is. Not only for her family and friends, but also for Shelly. Her and Lori were close friends from the posts on FB. I cant help but feel really bad for her.

I also agree that the composit drawings look just like KL scary alike. And the missing/ murdered women are so alike it wouldnt suprise me at all if they arent all related. As much likeness in the cases im suprised LE didnt hit ( or I assume they didnt) put two and two together, it seems so obvious.

great sluething everyone!

my deepest sympathy to Loris family and friends and may she R.I.P.

The btk wanted to be found out so he could bask in his own infamous glory. I suspect that this guy was ready to get his infamous glory as well.
But that's just my opinion due to the smirk on his mug shot.

Woah.... wait a minute.

Blood on the walls?! If there was blood on the walls then I have many questions.

A) Why would her daughter have not called 911 upon coming home and finding blood all over the walls?

B) Why once the police got there would the house not be immediately considered a crime scene?!

C) Why would people be allowed to go in and out of the house for days until they arrested him and searched the house?

D) Who, with ANY heart would allow Nathon to come home to a house with blood stained walls, a full week after his wife's murder?

There is something seriously wrong with this picture. :waitasec:

It sounds like he is being literal... but I just can't see how that is possible without complete incompetence from law enforcement and heartlessness from whoever didn't clean it up before Nathon got home.

Nathon says he and Lori's daughter's can't move out of this house fast enough. Knowing that whatever happened to her that night, it happened in this house.

"If we redid every wall in this house, if we redid the whole house... I'd walk down that hallway right there and I would see the blood stains on the wall. Every time.

You know...and see...whatever was on the carpet that had to be covering the hallway carpet because there's no blood on the carpet whatsoever and there was blood all over the walls. And I'd see that every single time, I couldn't live with that. She's not here, she's in my heart and I know she wouldn't want me to stay here. We were going to move anyway. I just wish it hadn't been like this."

There's a news story with Nathon.

Then there is a long interview with him.

He describes blood all over the walls. Kenny must have really really been nuts to think he'd get away with this.

"Sgt Arrowood we have some terribly saddening news, your spouses remains have been found."

Are you KIDDING me?! They couldn't let someone who knew him break that news to him? Or do it in a less military way? Come on people, her name is LORI.

The above underlined is what I am most interested in hearing about. I suspect we are going to eventually learn that some had suspicions about Kenneth even before Nathan was deployed....

Nathon said he never liked Kenny and never trusted him. But he didn't voice his suspicions because he was a family friend long before Nathon met Lori.

He said he immediately suspected Kenny when they told him Lori was missing. Nathon knew who it was and it was terrifying. Lori was trusting and nobody ever suspected Kenny would do that.

He said Kenny called him during the search and told him that he was doing everything he could to try and find Lori. When he said "Hi Nathon this is Kenny" Nathon got cold chills down his spine.

He said that the way this was carried out was cold blooded and that he doesn't believe someone could have done it, without having done it before. He hopes that Lori's death wasn't in vain and they can get closure for other families if he has done it before.

He said he does want to know every detail so he can stop speculating. Even though he is terrified to know everything.

They met when he put his Mom up in a hotel and she was the front desk clerk. But they didn't talk until he ran into her again because they kept their horses at the same place. He was put on this earth to love her and make her happy...he did that and has no regrets. She died knowing he loved her and appreciated her and he never said anything he wishes he could take back.

He said while he was overseas Lori was never there. She was sleeping here, he was sleeping there. But when he got back to the states... it was the first time he didn't sleep with his wife.

He said he is lost without her....he is devoted to her until the day he dies. She is his wife.

Okay... now I'm crying. Unbelievably unfair.

I believe he was being literal about the blood because he also states that there must have been something covering the carpet as there was no blood on the carpet but that there was blood all over the walls. It's at the 11:25 mark in the video..

ETA:
Never mind I see you already saw that part...
You have some really good questions though! I am wondering them all too. We never heard anything about blood and yet we were told so many other details from the start.

I would think the walls were cleaned up, and painted, but he said he wanted to know everything, so he probably saw photos. jmooc

Very good questions, especially the house being a crime scene. jmo

YOS I think you are on the right track. LE and friends were inside that house organizing search parties for several days. It clearly states in early reports that there was no sign of struggle. I would think blood on the walls would have been a clear indication that something very bad had gone down. My guess is that it had been cleaned up (by Lumpkin) and they (LE) didnt find anything visible until they went back and searched the home on tuesday evening, maybe using equipment. Who knows what Nate saw when. BUT whatever he did see is forever burned in his memory. When they first stated Lori was missing they were questioning whether she left voluntarily. There would have been no questions, had they seen a crime scene. As far as Tower road. Its a dirt road (very common down there) looks more like a logging road/trail, or something like that....could be why you cant find it on the map. A news report mentioned it was located in ludiwisi (hope I spelled that right).

The new search for Debora Gail Moody is on the heels of the slaying and discovery of the body of 42-year-old Lori Arrowood last week. Arrowood and Moody both knew Kenneth Lumpkin. Lumpkin was charged in connection with the death of Arrowood.

The Long County Sheriff's Dept., Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Long County Fire Dept. set up a search for the missing woman. Moody has been missing since Dec. 4, 2007.

They are searching in an area off Tower Road in Ludowici -- the same area where the body of Arrowood was found last week.
