Bumping ... No Photo

Still absolutely nothing coming out in searches.

Marilyn Lea Colli was 26 when she disappeared in Jan 1988. So she was 18 eight years prior in 1979 or 1980. Hence, she might have attended high school approx between 1976 to 1979.

We do not know if Colli is her maiden or married name.

But - The population of Lincolnton was tiny 1,595 at the 2000 census as per Wikipedia so in 1988 it was maybe around 1300 or even less residents? Let's say half of that population were women, so how many were named there Marylin Lea from those around 650 female inhabitants in the whole city? One or two or more?...

In search for the photo - we do not know if she grew up in Lincolnton or only lived there shortly before her disappearance but there is only ONE high school in whole county of Lincoln (is that right???) as per Wikipedia so it would be worth to check out the yearbooks for approx 1976 to 1979 years, just in case. It would be good to search for all Marilyn Lea's in those years or anyone by surname Calli in any of the years.

Lincoln County Schools
Lincolnton, Georgia - Wikipedia
(Watch out - apparently there is Lincolnton also in North Carolina.)

Also worth to mention that through middle of this tiny city of Lincolnton runs major US highway - U.S. Route 378.

Search continues...

Marilyn Lea Colli

https://www.namus.gov/MissingPersons/Case#/57364

This case was entered into NamUs to assist DNA Analysis at UNTCHI

If you do not mind me asking Romulus, where did you copy this sentence from - This case was entered into NamUs to assist DNA Analysis at UNTCHI? It does not show that on her profile in Namus if it was there previously. Due to this sentence I do wonder if she was entered only to NamUs due to being already in process of being compared to certain unidentified after previous ongoing investigation by LE.

We can all just wonder to which one. So are there any Doe's rule outs showing on her NamUs profile by now?

It is an odd last name for the area. Public searches in GA and AL there are only a handful of people with that last name.

Her maiden name is Lowery and she was, I believe, from Alabama. She disappeared with my brother (her husband). I found this site searching for their names. I do not see his name anywhere?

Did they disappear together? What's your brother's name? We can report him to the Namus and Doe Network...

Yes, they disappeared together. They were married and his name was Harry Colli (aka Gary Colli). I have a photo of each of them and yes, if he could get added to those databases, that would be appreciated. It's a long, long time ago, but still bothers me...

Then I can help you: you could have your case listed here on the DOE NETWORK by filling out this form.

For Namus database following this

I hope this helps. I'm writing from Italy, so I don't have access to Namus! But you'll find someone who can help you better than me!

Marilyn Lea Lowery is listed in newspaper reference below as a graduating May 31, 1979, from Samsuta High School with the ceremony in the Mobile (AL) Municipal Auditorium. Perhaps this is her?

Perhaps not, there is a 1983/4 marriage license issued to a person with a name different than that of Colli (which could still be possible). I'll stop poking around until there is some confirmation through other sources.
