Not sure if this info has been posted before- but article is dated 10/14 - neighbor describes her family being stalked by JH for several years -
“He would stalk us at the school bus,” she continued. “I had two daughters that he would stalk in first and fifth grade, and he would follow us through the neighborhood.”
The neighbor said 2012 -- when Hazelwood was around 15 -- was the worst.
“Things really deteriorated,” she said. “He broke into our house while we were in it and my husband was out of town. I went and talked to the grandparents and reached out to them rather than call the police immediately and I regret that now I should not have waited until subsequent events to call the police.”

Some comments on this case, after reviewing the facts:
1. I think he was either faking his shaking, or some of his movements and otherwise faking voices or whatever- trying to pretend to be sicker than he is in court. He wasn't shaking too hard to shoot the victims four days before. Drug-induced tremors (like from lithium, etc.) tend to cause only hand shaking, not legs, I think and not head movement. It can be found on youtube.
And tardive dyskenesia and dystonia (from long term psychotropic drug use) are extreme and not like what he displayed. Both can also be seen on youtube.
Finally, I;ve also seen truly psychotic people in court and he doesn;t look like what I've seen. And his mind seemed extremely clear and focused in his instagram postings right after the murders occurred.
2. His mental health issues - clearly he has some - do not render him less responsible for these crimes, IMO. he was focused enough during the crimes to know what he was doing was wrong and to try to cover up his crimes. He was not compelled to do what he did. He was able to control it because it involved a lot of hiding, stalking and preparing. Truly out of control psychotics just suddenly attack, IMO. Again, his instagram postings evidence a fully controlled calm individual who could philosophize about life. In law, the concept of not guilty by reasons of insanity is quite limited, to either not understanding right from wrong, or not knowing what you are actually doing - i.e., a mother thinks she is squeezing a lemon but is actually strangling her infant.

Clearly, he knew right from wrong and his stalking and monitoring of the couple and hiding indicated he could control himself.
But he could be found guilty but mentally ill and receive treatment during incarceration, even while being sentenced to life. I think that might avoid the death penalty though:

4. Someone did to him what he did to the girl, at least the spanking part. There's no way he came up with that out of the blue. I know I will get some stones but I am very much against hitting kids. I think a lot of sexual deviants are created by hitting kids in this manner. Studies show that's true. And to use corporal punishment on a kid who already has neurological or psychological problems is insane. It can really create a sexual fixation on pain, humiliation, punishment and degradation. Unfortunately, those kids are the ones most likely to be hit because they exhibit behavioral problems. Hitting children increases their chances of being mentally ill later in life or violent. That includes "non-abusive hitting" although I'm really not talking about a quick swat to the rear end of a toddler who has run toward the street, which I think most of us have done, whether we are in favor of corporal punishment or not:

"For the second time, the man accused of killing two teenagers behind a Roswell supermarket told a Fulton County judge Friday he isn’t getting his medication.
“I’m still not on the right medication, judge,” Jeffrey Hazelwood said during a brief status hearing.
Judge Shawn LaGrua replied that she had told Hazelwood’s attorneys who to contact at the jail but said she couldn’t do more.
“I can’t direct them specifically how to medicate you because I’m not a doctor,” LaGrua said.
Hazelwood said he had no other questions or concerns and was led out of the courtroom after less than five minutes. He is expected to return to court for a motions hearing Jan. 25."

A source confirmed to 11Alive on Friday that Hazelwood is being treated at an area hospital, but did not provide any other details.
Hazelwood’s grandfather told 11Alive’s Valerie Hoff that his grandson is mentally ill and is being treated in a hospital for symptoms of that illness.

Hildreth said Hazelwood's medical team has not been able to pinpoint a mental health diagnosis for Hazelwood.
"We have struggled with putting a label on his mental illness, he said. Although Hazelwood has a previous diagnosis of Asperger's disorder, Hildreth said he never quite fit into the full spectrum of an autistic diagnosis.
He would confirm that Hazelwood suffers from psychosis, but that's not a mental illness.

Hazelwood pled guilty in court today to murdering the two teens. He was sentenced to life w/o the possibility of parole.
