Newborn Baby's Body Found Inside Freezer In Georgia Woman’s House

Carol June Sautter, 45, told her ex-boyfriend she put the corpse of her stillborn baby in the freezer of her Cobb-County home in Georgia. It was not clear if it was the former boyfriend who alerted the investigators, who raided the accused’s home June 25 and found the newborn’s body in the freezer.

According to a warrant, she also sent messages and photos of the dead baby to others.

According to a warrant issued by the Magistrate Court of Cobb County, Carol J. Sautter-Williams gave birth to a baby boy sometime between June 7 and June 11. However, between the two dates, investigators believe the baby died.

The baby’s cause of death remains pending and may take up to two or three months to determine, the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office told the MDJ Thursday.

Sautter-Willliams was charged with a felony, that could lead to between one and 10 years in jail and a fine of between $1,000 and $5,000.

A superior court judge granted the woman a $30,000 bond.

Woman who put newborn in freezer indicted on concealing death charge

A Cobb County grand jury has indicted a Mableton woman on a charge that she stored her newborn baby’s body in a freezer after he died.

The grand jury on Jan. 9 indicted Carol June Sautter on one count each of concealing a death of another and making a false statement, both of which are felonies.

Cobb Magistrate Court Judge Gerald Moore granted Sautter a $30,000 bond. She was also ordered to undergo a mental evaluation. Sautter, who was 43 at the time of her arrest, was also prevented from having contact with children age 16 and younger.
