Next witness is Russell Walters, a retired 911 manager in East Point. He is being used to introduced 911 calls related to the Drinks murder, including the call from Michael Syass who found the gun.
After Walters, next witness was East Point PD Inv. David Clickner, who responded to find the handgun Syass found.
After Clickner, the next witness is Tyesha Alexander, who claimed to be "one of the prettiest girls" Shannon Stillwell ever had.
She didn't confirm if the two were still in a relationship but were dating in 2021 into 2022.
Alexander said she knows Damekion Garlington but didn't know if she spoke to Garlington about the gun.

Shannon Stillwell’s ex testified today in #ysltrial. Per her attorney she wanted to plead the fifth but the state gave immunity so she had to testify.

After arguing whether previous convictions and pleas would be admitted, the jury was brought out to continue with the presentation of the state's case.First witness is APD crime lab firearm unit member Heather Francisco. She was a former GBI Crime lab member.
Whitaker plans to give jurors instructions about the previous convictions being admitted after both the state and defense agree on the language.
Next witness is Detective Belknap, who is testifying again and has testified a couple of times.Belknap was the first witness called in this trial. He is testifying now about the Shymel Drinks homicide.
Attorney Weinstein asked Belknap about the allegedly missing watch from Young
's home but Belknap said he had no knowledge about its whereabouts or what happened to that watch.
ADA Adkins just comes out and asks Belknap if he took or knows of any APD personnel who took the watch and Belknap said "absolutely not.”
Belknap went on to describe the process of collecting property and evidence, including officers having to wear body camera.
Weinstein asks about the watch again, including that they took a picture of the watch and it's not in evidence. Belknap clarifies that just because they took a picture of the watch while conducting the search, doesn't mean it was taken into evidence.
"There are a broad number of possibilities of what could have happened to that watch other than it being stolen or lost," Belknap said.Belknap said he has no idea of the value of the watch and clarify that he has no specific information about the watch.
Next witness is Crime Scene Technician Antonette Green, who has testified before.

Covin testified about gun residue not being found in the car that Stillwell was riding in. Covin tested the headliner of the car but found no gun residue in the vehicle. He testified that cleaning and vacuuming the car would affect the amount of gun residue particles inside.

YSL Trial: Day 160
I had a work lunch but former co-defendant Antonio Sumlin is on the stand.Before Sumlin, ATF agent Mark Tanner testified briefly on the stand.
Sumlin said he was nervous on the stand.He testified that he grew up in Cleveland Avenue became part of ROC crew around 2006-2007.He said some people stayed with ROC crew and others went to YSL but he claimed both.
“Me personally, I never looked at (YSL) as a gang,” Sumlin said about YSL being a gang.“I had a friend, who when I came home from prison he was successful, so I thought I was a part of something successful,” he said referring to Young as the friend.
Sumlin testified that YSL stands for different things including, “Young Successful Living”, “Young Stone Lifestyle”, “Young Slime Life”.When he went to prison, it was Young Slime Life.
Sumlin said he has known Young since around 2007, has known Shannon Stillwell for about 20-25 years and Deamonte Kendrick for about three to four years.
Sumlin testified that former co-defendant Cordarius Dorsey reached out to him to set up a robbery against a person.
Sumlin testified that a house nicknamed "Web" was Young's childhood home and Sumlin used to spend time at the house. He testified that Young got the house for people to have somewhere to go if they needed to.
Hylton is asking Sumlin some questions based on his factual acknowledgements, when Sumlin answers in a different way than on the factual acknowledgements, Hylton approaches Sumlin and shows him the factual acknowledgement he made.
Sumlin doesn't know when the rivalry between YSL and YFN started but it was probably around the time he was in prison.He said he knows YFN Lucci is a rapper.He testified that he doesn't know Jayden Myrick outside of this case.
The state played the jail call between Sumlin and Eppinger in which they are discussing how to get permission to harm YFN Lucci at the Fulton jail. The state alleges they were asking Young for permission.
No evidence was presented about Young ever being contacted and YFN Lucci was never harmed by Sumlin or Eppinger.
Sumlin said Eppinger didn't have to get permission to stab YFN Lucci since he is a grown man and could do what he wanted to do.
After Sumlin's guilty plea is entered by the state, Judge Whitaker read an instruction to the jury that the crimes that Sumlin plead guilty to relate only to Sumlin and not to the defendants currently on trial.
Sumlin said he doesn’t even know Harold Clements, the man he allegedly had a call with Cordarius Dorsey about robbing.
Sumlin is done testifying.

There is no #ysltrial today. Attorneys are using today to sort through, organize, etc., all the evidence in the case as this trial winds down. On Monday, Inv. Viverito will still be on the stand. Once she is done, the state will rest.

YSL UPDATE: Nov. 27, 2024, will mark one year since opening statements. This week will likely be the last in the #YSLtrial. The state will rest (educated guess) on Tuesday after Inv. Viverito. They have a couple more hours of direct on Monday then defense will take the rest of the day and some of Tuesday. @doug_weinstein will call no witnesses on behalf of Yak Gotti citing the cross-exam of state witnesses is all they needed. @MaxGoddard13 may have some witnesses on behalf of Shannon Stillwell (unconfirmed) and closing arguments could be as soon as Friday.
