FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - UPDATE: The jury in the YSL RICO trial reached their verdicts for the remaining two defendants on Tuesday morning.

Deamonte Kendrick was found not guilty of all charges.

Shannon Stillwell was found guilty of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was sentenced to 10 years to serve 2 including time served with the balance on probation.

I just keep thinking about the impact of RICO in Atlanta and how expensive this case was. How much time it took and the impact that had on the defendants, jurors, attorneys and the ways it backlogged the court system.

Deamonte Kendrick and Shannon Stillwell were both acquitted of murder. Kendrick was found not guilty on all charges while Stillwell was found guilty on a gun charge.

There will likely be many more plea offers taken in the remaining #ysltrial defendants, however, not likely for Christian Eppinger. Eppinger is charged with attempted murder of two officers (among other charges).

See attached video. Eppinger also made headlines after allegations of a relationship involving a jail guard as well as his attorney's laptop was seized during jury selection and he was severed from trial.

"I'm requesting to be removed from the current case due to the length of this trial and how the state has handled this case. I can no longer be unbiased towards any decisions moving forward.." The juror who sent that note a few weeks ago (#56) ended up being the jury foreperson.

Shannon and Yak both still have charges they picked up from jail pending (stuff like contraband), so that’s why they can’t immediately walk out. Feels like they’re perfect bond candidates now though Will keep yall updated with specifics!
