Ohhhhhhh, man. The $1.5m judgement is because he swore in court that he had $32 million. This $32m was supposedly in the care of Jim.

I can't believe Jim stole this poor man's money, killed his wife, and is now framing him. Tragic.

I'm still behind... Was this in NK's interview with the GBI agent?

ETA: GBI got autocorrected for FBI.

"I could have walked out the door at any point if I wanted to get away".

You mean, like... walking out the door, dumping your wife's body, relocating family and cutting contact with them, moving across the country and changing your name along the way? And then burning your vehicle? Sounds like you did try to get away...

GBI, but yeah. I believe this is after he was extradited and is in Georgia.

Didn't notice the autocorrect. I've edited my post.

Back to the $32M, if that money really exists/existed, there has to be records of it somewhere, right?

One would think. I think the allegation by NK is that the money is from the super secret computer work he was doing, and that Jim was in charge of the trust that holds/held the money. So he doesn't actually have access to it or know much about it. Of course.

NK caught in his own web of lies?

He was a JAG until 2016/2017. According to his own words, J McI contacted Mindi for the first time in 2018, when the running and hiding started.
So, what court was he talking about? Was it his divorce from his first wife?

despite the fact there could be naive/gullible/trusting individuals on a jury, and despite hiring weinstein as legal representation.... i'm stunned nk has taken this all the way to a trial.

Ahhh
Quoting the other agent in the interrogation room:

"That Jim was so good at his job protecting you, why would he not protect her?"

I suspect "Jim" was only good at protecting himself... MOO JMO

For sure! A court wouldn't rule on it unless there was record of it. If not through financial affidavits through bank subpoenas. They had to prove he had those funds to get that settlement. So where did it go?

This post made me lol. Not the turn of "events" that I was expecting.

This guy is beyond ridiculous.

(Does his lawyer's paycheck come out of that $32 million? Does Jim write the paychecks for NK's lawyer?)

I can't wait to hear Jim testifying on the stand. /s

So Nick took money from his Dad....and ran off. I hadn't heard this before. And then he tried to convince Mindi and family that his Dad was dangerous and attacked him.

So that's 2 groups of people he was running from for owing money, his first wife with the court judgement and his father.

After leaving the military he held a job for a month or two, but it 'wasn't a fit' and he saw the writing on the wall and left. (They probably caught him in lies.) It doesn't seem that Nick held a real job after that time.

My favorite exchange from the GBI interview played this morning (in reference to NK’s lies):

LE: Do you remember who Ray Charles is?
NK: Yes sir.
LE: Ray Charles is blind.
NK: Yes sir.
LE: Ray Charles can see this one.

Also, when LE flat out tells him that no jury in Georgia is going to buy his story.

NK also said that the doctor mistakenly had Mindi cremated. And he met the doctor on the SIDE OF THE ROAD somewhere in Alabama to pick up her remains.

…because Jim told him to.

LE asks, “If Jim told you to jump off a bridge would you do it?”
NK says yes.

That's not the same story NK told SK.

It wuz Jim what done it!

It's the Santos Strategy: When caught in a lie -- or an enormous and ever-evolving sting of them going back years, including theft and violent murder -- double down! Someone out there will believe ya! And then cross your fingers and hope.

What an egregious and agonizing waste of everyone's time this NK is. Better to plead and be done with him. IMO MOO etc.

weinstein may be a very good lawyer. however, it seems he will also have to be an amazing magician as he will have to pull a rabbit named jim mcintyre from a hat -or somewhere - and make all the evidence disappear to get a jury to find this client not guilty.

somehow i missed that he took money from his dad.

i don't mean i doubt you, at all. i just missed it

i suppose it sort of answers another piece of the liar's puzzle as i couldn't figure out why he chose to throw his family members into his stories.

I believe it was in the 2nd interview shown in court today with the GBI, when he was being interviewed by just Jack Frost. Frost asked him about taking money from Wayne and mentioned a figure of $60k. Frost also said something to the effect that Nick had 'disappeared' and became estranged from his family shortly after. Nick agreed that he had borrowed money from his father but that he didn't know the amount.
