Is a 14 year old going to take a baby in her car seat on foot? If so, is he going to keep her, and not drop her off on a doorstep or something? If he does decide to keep her, is he going to be found without her? The mother also claimed there were two assailants. Where is this other person? So strange.

Police identified the suspect as 14-year-old Malachi Richardson. According to investigators, they believe the order "appears to be fake" and that it was a set up. They said they determined Richardson was the person in that area when the crime happened and when the vehicle was abandoned.

Police originally believed there may be two suspects involved, but have no other. They also believe they may be on foot.

I think the motive was to steal a child. Every time I’ve heard of something like this, the kid is dropped off or left in the car once the thief realizes. I haven’t heard of one where the thief keeps the kid and changes the license plates.

One reason the car was abandoned after the license plate change could be that they turned off the car and couldn’t turn it back on. Taking the baby with them might mean that they didn’t want to leave the baby there alone.

I hope we get some word word soon that they found little Royalty, They should’ve been able to get that kid to talk right away. He’s plenty old enough to know that he doesn’t want to get stuck with a murder charge and if she isn’t OK he’s in big big trouble!

Per the reporter in the video below, police initially said there were two suspects, now they're only saying Malachi Richardson. No more word about there possibly being a second suspect. See 1:44 mark.

Earlier report said Malachi lived near the home or in the neighborhood, not AT the home where the delivery was made. I'll see if I can find it. MOO

DoorDash said it has also been in touch with Grisby to offer their support.

If you're the type of 14 year old who would steal a stranger's car, you're likely also the type who would steal a stranger's credit card to make a door dash food purchase; or "borrow without permission" a family member's credit card. MOO
