Thanks everyone! I was unaware of the verdict until my daughter mentioned me in a comment on FB. I didn't even know she was following the case...LOL

IMO, justice won't be served until Andrea gets the same sentence.

LWOP plus 5 years for the gun enhancement.

In all the evidence given by Rusty's brother, he never once mentioned the name "Andrea" or her wifely title. It must pain the family to have the children being raised by her. They are the ones I feel saddest for.

bbm

Yes, without a doubt. She was the schemer, planner and she used that man to get her bidding done. Yes, of course he is guilty, too. He could have stayed at home that day... But she was the executioner even thought he fired the shots. Grrrrrr.

He took a chance -- and lost.

LWOP +5 years to be served consecutively. The book was thrown at him, and he's on his way back to prison for life + 5.

This is all that can be done in the search for Rusty Sneiderman's life sentence which was, for him, death. Not equal, but it's the best that can be done.

And I'll bet Andrea doesn't give even a little damm about it. MOO.

So he was not found "mentally ill" this time?! He wasn't mentally ill the first go around either, just in a state of utter disbelief and shock as to the totality of how his lover had changed her stance once the deed was done.

It would seem to me that if I faced the dismal future that Hemy has the past years in mental health lockdown as he watched his lover lie her way out of any involvement, I would be genuinely crazy by now!

I am not defending him in any way. He is paying the price for having a conniving mistress. The shame of this case is she walked away free and clear. The time she spent incarcerated for perjury does not do justice for the evil she created.

My opinions only!

Sorry I never got to join you all for this one, I watched a bit at work but I had not taken into account the Olympics starting at same time and that took precedence for me, lol.
I actually had both going most of the time, and working in between, so no sneaking into WS for me.

Is anyone here going to follow the Justin Harris trial? I have been watching the jury selection for that this week, trial is supposed to start Oct. 3rd.

Miss y'all, wish I could hit the lottery and retire , stay home and WS and chill all day :tears:

HiYa, Nymeria - :) - Good to see you! I'll be checking in on the Harris trial as soon as it gets underway. There should be a good bunch of us on this one.

Here's to Justice!

I thought that there was a thread for his appeal here at WS, but I cannot find. If someone has a better thread to move this to, let me know.

GA Supreme Court hears second Hemy Neuman appeal 3 hours ago

Jurors in the 2012 trial found Neuman guilty but mentally ill. He was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for the murder charge plus five years for a firearm charge. In the second trial, Neuman’s attorneys argued as part of their appeal, “witnesses were prohibited from fully testifying as to matters which would have supported his sole defense of insanity."

Michael Tarleton, representing Neuman, said Wednesday that the DeKalb DA’s office should have been disqualified from prosecuting a second time due to their exposure to that privileged information.

“What we specifically disputed was whether or not they could erase that evidence from their own minds,” Tarleton said. “We have no way of challenging that ourselves and it shouldn’t be our burden to do so.”
