GUILTY GA - Sam Poss, 18, Perry, 15 Oct 2016 *Arrests*

  • #221
Yeah, between the two involved...or something to that effect.

I believe White posted on the 13th a post that just said, "shhhhh." Like he had a secret to hold. Maybe the basis for premeditation.

I found the Facebook page of the guy mentioned in the article who was the neighbor and had found the footprints and had video. He has posted a pic of what looks like where the body had been hidden, which is a little much IMO.

I saw that, as well. :maddening:
Creepy and certainly sounds premeditated !

Is it too much to hope that both young men will live out the rest of their lives and die -- in prison ??

Seems like Dakota has major sleep issues.

I've read that that is a common symptom of schizophrenia or the manic side of bipolar.

At least they were able to make this kid crack and not only tell what they did to Sam, but also where he could be found. A more hardened criminal would've clammed up and denied knowing anything, forcing the cops to try and find the victim on their own. That may have taken a week, a month, and he may have never been found. We see that scenario play itself out time after time in here.

As a reminder, go back to the main forum page and look at the list of missing people over the last 2 years that have never been found.

The spot where the body was found is an undeveloped wooded area where Edmonson said people often throw out dead deer and wild hogs that have been poached.

Looking at the picture of the hand-dug shallow grave, it's possible he was deep enough to have stayed undiscovered for a good long while. All the dirt that was previously in the hole would have been preserved and sifted through for evidence. You can see steel stakes at both ends that would represent the area he was found from head to toe, as well as serving as a depth gauge.

The area he was found in was a dumping ground for dead animals due to poaching, so I highly doubt anyone would have spent a whole lot of time searching in there. I suspect it was a dumping ground in general, for a whole lot of different things besides animal carcasses.

So true Steelman. Brings to mind the Wetterling family who had to make a deal with a monster to find out where their son's remains were.

I speculated that but it seems to be true from what we heard so far.

It's sad, teenagers killing one of their peers. Maybe over a girl?

I bet it was over drugs.

New article

http://www.13wmaz.com/mb/news/local...oss-killing-really-weird-disturbing/339880313

ETA ... The title of the article may turn off some readers but there are no weird or disturbing facts revealed. That said, this is going to be bad.

From the link:

Dykes says they do know how White and Poss knew each other. “They were friends and basically their probably biggest connection was gaming on the computers. That was probably their biggest connection,” said Dykes.

this young man Sam lost his life for merely nothing. I mean for no reason whatsoever,” said Dykes.

He said investigators are still pulling together details of the case. He said they're looking through the three teen's social media, their phones, computers and PlayStations.

Poss's autopsy is being conducted Friday.

It's what I'm guessing at too. I mean, it's a given, normal healthy guys don't kill friends. I'm getting a vibe between Brandon and Dakota along the lines of the columbine killers Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris maybe. Co-dependants.

These two are so unstable, going by Facebook, that the motive could have been as outrageous as Sam losing a battle for them in their MMO (which is not World of Warcraft - lets be careful attaching anything/anyone to the case that shouldn't be). I think the poster that suggested they picked him up to go smoke at White's was probably right. I get a real angry vibe from Dakota, so something was probably brewing for some time. Brandon seems very attached to Dakota but also has a kind of sociopath feel to him IMO so its possible he gave Dakota the idea or support to do what he did. This whole thing reminds me of the murder of Skylar Neese - maybe Brandon felt like Dakota was spending too much time with Sam?

That picture gave me chills. I was wondering if the stake was a marker. How strange for me Edmonson to post that. Morbid and sad.

I don't think so Katydid. I think this is something altogether different. IMO
I agree JadeSleuth. I really think these two pukes committed a thrill kill. I'm really afraid to hear the details. It's going to be very bad I think.

Me too. I need to know why? Like what was the purpose? Was it a game to them? Was it some BS revenge? I have to say, last year my 16 year old son made up with an ex friend of his (they fought over a girl), and after being on WS for so long, I was internally freaking out, worrying that it was a trap, a fake invite. I swear I called and texted him 20 times that night. Some kids are so twisted lately.

Preach!
... Everytime my sons put one foot out the door, I think every scenario in the book zips through my head in a nanosecond.

That said, I recall being in that situation MANY years ago. Where the friend of a girl who hated me called me one night to go to a party. I didn't even know her and my young, gullible self wanted to go. My Mom said "no way" and wow am I grateful.

Right? Crap this is sad. The worse case scenario when I was in high school was just getting in a fist fight (which I always managed to avoid). Our kids have to fend off psychos acting on any impulse they have.

And your mom was smart!!!!
