It's too bad this is the only photo. It's not very clear.

It appears that Brooksville, FL/Hernando County, where her husband claimed she was going and where she apparently resided, has claimed jurisdiction in this case. Of note, all the info online repeatedly refers to "Catersville," GA, but as far as I can tell, there is no such animal. I believe they're referring to Cartersville, which is about an hour north of Atlanta and would be consistent with other references to Bartow County. I've found no explanation as to why either of them would be in Cartersville. At the time, the population was only around 10,000, and it's not exactly a tourist destination.

Searching Hernando County court records, I only found that the court was successfully petitioned to declare her legally dead in 1984. The only result on newspapers was a publication of this record.

Checking her out on Ancestry, with some confusing results.
  • She has a death date of 06/15/1977 for Social Security. I assume she must have been declared legally dead at some point, but it's interesting that this was the date picked, when her husband seems to have reported her to have been alive until at least 6/20/77. Birthdate is May 28, 1923. Last residence in Brooksville, Hernando County, FL.
  • West Virginia birth records record her as Cholie Saunders Nida, born May 28, 1923 in Secoma, Fayette County, WV.
  • She is oddly missing in the 1930 census, although the rest of her family (parents, siblings) is easily found.
  • In 1937, she married a Fox in Fayette County, WV. Her name is listed as Saunders C. Nida. She would have been just 14 years old, at most.
  • In the 1940 census, they're still married, living in Mountain Cove, Fayette County, WV. They have a 5 month old son. She is 16. Her husband is 22. Highest education is 7th grade. Occupation is at home.
  • In October 1946, her husband files for divorce in Fayetteville, WV. She is listed as Saunders Niday Fox. Evidently they worked things out, because they're still married in 1950.
  • In the 1950 census, she is listed as Saunders Fox, married with three children, living in Fayetteville, WV. Occupation is keeping house.
  • In 1961, her son married, and the announcement in the paper stated that his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fox, resided in Brooksville, FL.
  • In October 1966, she married a Miller in Hernando, Florida. She is listed as Saunders Cholia Fox.
  • In 1971, her son passes away in Grady County, GA. He is buried in Cairo, GA. This is the only link between her and Georgia that I'm aware of, and it is nowhere close to Cartersville.
  • On May 6, 1976, she marries a Rymer in Pasco County, FL, under the name Saunders Louise Nida or Saunders Louise Miller, depending on where you look. Not sure where Louise came from, but everything else is unique and hangs together.

I found very little information about her... A woman reported her mother missing on September 13, 1977. The last time anyone saw this woman's mother was on June 20, 1977, almost 3 months earlier. Fifty-four-year-old Saunders Cloie Rymer reportedly had an argument with her husband and left the company, claiming she was heading back to her home in Florida. This argument supposedly took place in Cartersville, Georgia. Rymer was living in Brooksville, Florida at the time. Her purpose in being in Cartersville is unclear. It could be that the two were separated and the husband lived in Cartersville. Perhaps the daughter lived there? Perhaps the two were just passing through? It is also unclear whether this alleged argument took place on June 20 or some other time before September 13. The person who claimed to have seen her on June 20 is her husband. It is unknown if this has been corroborated.

The circumstances of Rymer's disappearance are unclear.

Rymer's nickname is Sandra. She may spell her first name "Sanders" and may use the last names Miller and/or Nida. Cartersville is northwest of Marietta, which is northwest of Atlanta.

There's a lot of chaos here, with so many surnames.
I think this may be her son:
I also think that one of these might be her last husband, but I'm not very sure (the last one had ties with Florida):
