"Deputies are asking for any information that can help find a Paulding County man who was last heard from on New Year's Day.

Officials say around noon on Jan. 1, 20-year-old Sean Zululaga left his home in the Seven Hills community of Paulding County after telling his mother he had a flat tire he had to replace."

20-year-old Sean Zululaga left his home in the Seven Hills community at about 12 noon on Jan. 1 after telling his mother he had a flat tire that needed to be repaired.

The investigation indicates that his vehicle was observed re-entering the Seven Hills community shortly before 4 p.m. However, according to Henson, Zululaga did not return home on the evening of January 1 and has not been seen or heard from since.

Zululaga is described as a white male, standing about 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He was last known to be driving a silver 2008 Mazda 3 with Georgia license tag number CPM 7597.

•A little while later, his mother got a text message from Zululaga asking for money for the repairs.
•Zululaga got gas at a nearby gas station and went to Cartersville.
•His vehicle was seen later re-entering Seven Hills before 4 p.m., but police say Sean never returned home and hasn't been seen from since.
•Zululaga's cell phone location was found to be in the Seven Hills area for at least four days before it either died or was powered off.

Puzzling. It sounds like Sean isn't one they'd expect would just take off. But why would his cell phone remain in the area for four days after he was last seen, but his vehicle hasn't been located?

Maybe someone else had his phone and vehicle?! Someone in the neighborhood?

That's very possible.

I wish there was more information about the location he is said to have visited in Cartersville. I'm wondering if something could have happened at that location. Either to him or that could have influenced his actions afterwards.

Also, it seems all the details in the news article may not correct (according to foster mom) but she states the “important” info is correct.

Which details? I'm not sure

The discrepancy she refers to may be a very important piece to this puzzle and finding where he is. MOO

I thought the same. The smallest detail may very well be very important. IMO.

I noticed LE stated he was last seen on Seven Hills extension (northbound).
Then I’ve noticed there’s Seven Hills Blvd and Seven Hills connector.
Are these pretty much all the same?
Or are these specific parts of Seven Hills?
TY!

I'm not 100% sure what they are referring to as the "Extension". There is Seven Hills Boulevard, which is the main road that goes through the Seven Hills neighborhoods. Where it meets the main light at Cedarcrest Road and crosses over it, it becomes Seven Hills Connector. The area they were searching is around the power lines that run at the back of the Seven Hills neighborhoods.

Seven Hills is one of those master planned communities that has several different sections. The area they have been seen searching is near the most recently built section called Naturewalk. There is also a transfer station (landfill) next door to Naturewalk.

Circumstances of Disappearance
•Jan 1, around 12pm Sean left his home in the Seven Hills community to get a tire repaired
•Shortly after, Sean reached out to his family through text message requesting financial assistance for the vehicle repairs.
•Sean got gasoline at a nearby gas station, and then went to Cartersville, GA.
•Sean’s vehicle was observed on traffic cameras later that day re-entering the Seven Hills community shortly before 4:00 PM.
•However, Sean never returned home on the night of January 1, 2021

•Sean did not show up for work on January 2, 2021, which is reportedly uncharacteristic for him.
•Sean’s employer then contacted his family to inquire about his absence. It was then that Sean was reported as a missing person by his family.

•There is reasonable cause for concern for Sean’s safety.

•Sean’s cell phone location was determined to be in the Seven Hills area of Paulding County where it remained for a period of approximately 4 days before the phone died or was otherwise powered off.
•The area of Sean’s last known cell phone location has been searched by numerous law enforcement officials on foot as well as ATV.
•Detectives also reached out to the Georgia State Patrol’s Aviation Division and searched the area by helicopter.
