Seeing the confusion about LH and if she worked out of the home or in the home..

Is it possible, as a dietician, she worked for herself and therfore was based out of her home but was usually out of the house (seeing clients, etc.)?

My hubby has a kidney transplant. He went to a Dialysis for a year before his transplant he said he will do hemodialysis the next time around, at home. With that said, I wondered if she did home visits to hemodialysis patients.

When a case is hot and it is all over natl news, sometimes the threads move at lightning speed. WS has a pretty large membership and everyone has something to say.

You should have been here for the Anthony or Arias trials threads. You could post a two sentence thought and find that while you were typing four more pages of comments had flown by :D

I'm curious as to why he phoned his friends to say he'd be late for the movie, when he left work early, and movie theatre was only a few minutes drive?
Why? Because he KNEW he was going the have to stop somewhere to have his son "discovered" dead.

Mom worked from home according to the officer who testified. I'm sure he said that because I was like wait, what, you just said she left for work before RH and Cooper were up

Way behind as usual....

I believe Stoddard said that she works "out of the home" which means outside of the home, not from the home. Does that make sense?

Going to catch up.

Yet another indication of premeditation. Judge Cox did note at the hearing that this could be a DP case in the future. I'm wondering when the State will re-up the child-abuse charge to Felony 1st Degree.

I'm not saying she didn't know but I do want to point out that everyone processes grief differently.

It makes me worry because I don't break down and show emotions. It's a coping mechanism honed long ago.
Yeah but if your significant other killed you child, would one of the first things out of your mouth be, "Did you say TOO much?"
Somehow, I doubt it.

Because of the judge's decision, Harris will remain in jail until the trial is concluded. He cannot be bailed out under any circumstances. The date for Harris' next court date is still forthcoming, but several pre-trial stages will come first, including a pre-trial conference and a motions hearing where pleas can be accepted.

UNIDENTIFIED PROSECUTOR: What time did Cooper, the child, and the defendant wake up? Actually get out of bed?

STODDARD: They got out of bed after 7:00.

UNIDENTIFIED PROSECUTOR: Where did Leanna, the mother of the child, go that day?

STODDARD: Leanna left for work about 7:15 this morning.

Jmo, working at home with a two-year would be next to impossible. How could you keep phone appointments, conference calls, etc? There is no way to "control" what a toddler will be doing at a certain time.

Who is M?

Also...I think sense of smell is one of those relative things. I often smell things very strongly my husband does not notice, good smells and otherwise. So I am not comfortable with the smell being more than an "extra" piece of evidence.

If you ever smelled a dead body that was in a scorching hot car for 7 hours, you would change your mind. :(
I've had the unfortunate experience of just that and I can smell it now, as I type. It was horrific.

The smell in the car that he got into and drove and ignored is the biggest thing, IMO.
And his behavior in the parking lot after lunch - when he made a brief stop at his car and then stopped to watch as someone walked past it.

My children are 17 and 12, so car seats that I used were a long time ago. However, on the back of the car seat there was ALWAYS a metal clip that was used to keep the straps tight no matter what position the straps were in (which slots on the front were used such as top, middle or bottom). There is no point in having a baby/newborn in a car seat with the straps in the lowest (bottom) slots on the front if the straps themselves would be so loose that the baby/infant would easily come out of the straps. I doubt very seriously that this has changed much, if at all, over the years. I want to know if that metal clip was used on the back of Cooper's seat to make the straps so freaking tight on him that he had very little, if any, movement with the straps in the lowest (bottom) slots.

MOO

I don't *think* I'd say it like that, but yes, fairly soon I'd want to know exactly what she told the police.

But, that's partly from reading case after case after case in reporters in the law library and westlaw.

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and WILL be used against you.

But, I was of that mind even before I took a single paralegal class.

By the way, I'd ask it either way if she did something on purpose or accidental. But I'm pretending accidental and my concern would be for her welfare.

I am of the belief he wanted Cooper found while at work.

She's a dietitian.

Yes, At the Dialysis center hubby went to there was a Dietitian on hand. She would make her rounds as they sat for 4 Hours getting dialysis, and go over proper nutrition for their needs, some had other medical issues.

You obviously know yourself better than I do but I highly doubt that you would give a rat's a** about legal rights if your baby was dead.

IDK, maybe it's just me.

bbm I think they showed the judge photos of the car seat and I am sure it was for that reason. jmo

Stoddard testified that the belts on Cooper’s car seat were set at the tightest possible setting and that the car seat was facing toward the rear, a position usually used only for infants.

I was thinking he wanted his friends to expect to arrive at the theatre slightly before him and yet wanted to get there to scope out the parking lot before they arrived so he could then pull up next to where they were parking and "discover" Cooper in front of him. But had to abort that plan because Cooper, in death, was uncooperative and was too smelly to drive the distance and do the recon RH wanted to. Therefore he bailed on that plan just like he bailed on "discovering" Cooper in front of those same friends at lunchtime with the lightbulb business because Cooper wasn't cooperative enough to be dead enough at that time.

See how terribly inconvenient that baby was to him? <please note the liberal sarcasm>

Is it known if Cooper had a toddler bed or if he was still kept in his crib? I can imagine that at 22 months old, if Cooper was still in a crib, that he would fuss about being in a "baby bed". That might be one reason why he "slept" with Harris and Leanna for the "past couple of nights".
