What department store???

THUD!

I prolly shouldn't name names, other than to say they are currently slowly closing down stores. ;-) but seriously, they would have "security tape parties" and gather round and make fun of people. Thank god that was before FB!!!

Just wanted to add...that the detective testified that while Russ was waiting to be interviewed, he paced, he rubbed his eyes, he took some deep breaths...
Didn't produce a single tear.

So much for being stoic. I tend to be a private crier. I know all about trying to hold it together in front of others. At the first opportunity to be alone...after the crisis... I am a snotty wet mess.
Not Russ. He was checking out a map...

My favorite was when Det Stoddard said he was "huffing" trying to get himself to hyperventilate. lol!

I REALLY want to see those videos although I'm sure they won't be as entertaining as Jodi Arias

Lawyer Adam Thompson: Technology Dooms Dad in Toddler's Death
Justin Ross Harris — charged with murder in the death of his 22-month-old son left in a hot car — was naïve if he believed he wouldn't be caught by technology, lawyer Adam Thompson says.

Denver Police caution parents after Atlanta baby dies in hot car

Perhaps sensing an opportunity to make a safety announcement, Denver Police said that on July 6, a Denver father was cited for wrongs to minors for leaving his two young children in a hot car.
“An anonymous complaint was made, and Denver Fire responded,” DPD wrote on itsFacebook page. “Luckily, the children were not injured, just lethargic. Leaving your kids in a car unattended is illegal, and you can face fines or jail time for the offense.”

someone asked earlier about LH's demeanor at Ross' probable cause hearing. I found this bit of info:

Leanna Harris arrived before the proceeding began and took a seat with family members, holding hands with the woman sitting next to her. When Ross Harris was brought into the courtroom in his orange prison jumpsuit, she appeared to get emotional.

When Stoddard began his testimony, she held the hand of another woman sitting next to her and at one point appeared to wipe away tears.

She put her head down when Stoddard was questioned about Ross Harris sexting other women. Later, she looked straight ahead without expression. She hung her head again when Stoddard discussed her alleged conversation with day care workers.

Leanna Harris seemed most attentive when the hearing turned to the matter of her husband's bail.

http://www.cnn.com/2014/07/07/justice/leanna-harris-5-questions/

It didn't mention her jawing on a piece of chewing gum. I didn't really see much of anything from her other than that of a casual observer (watched the preliminary hearing online). She did NOT seem to be medicated, and if for some reason she was, she probably got something right after Cooper's death and her body had adjusted to the medication by the time of the hearing.
I personally would be a basket case, first loosing a son to a horrible death, and then having my husband hit up with charges.

Taking that with a grain of salt because the media also printed that RH was crying during the hearing.

Well he was crying at one point. I did see him do so as did a member who was there and reported it. But I don't think those tears were for Cooper.

Can someone please point me to the written transcripts of the probable cause hearing?

[h=1]Toxicology Results 'Negative' in Georgia Hot-Car Death[/h]
collapse story

The 22-month-old Georgia boy who died after being left in the back of his father's hot car had nothing in his blood that suggested he was poisoned or drugged in any way, toxicology results released Thursday show.
Investigators say the tests confirmed their belief Cooper Harris' death was heat-related.The boy's father, Justin Ross Harris, 33, has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and child cruelty. His attorney, Maddox Kilgore, has repeatedly said that his client accidentally forgot to drop off Cooper at daycare on the morning of June 18 in the Atlanta suburbs.

Yes he cried when the defense witnesses spoke about what a great father he is. The media said he cried during the entire hearing.

According to People, Ross & Leanna did have a dog. So that makes the veterinarian video make a little more sense. I wonder if they ever left the dog in the car?

The family had all the trappings of an upwardly mobile middle-class family: a nice home, late-model vehicles and the latest computers and phones. They even had a small terrier dog.

Had?
Where is this dog now?

I'm always curious how people operate when they are under duress - do they always remember such details when the focus is on themselves at the moment?

I used to work for a dept store, they had cameras and i knew they monitored the dressing rooms- heck. They used to even have guys gathered around the monitor making fun of certain shoppers. I was appalled. Even still there are times I forget this and only after I've made some embarrassing readjustment (usually undies wedgie or something) in the dressing room, I'll remember someone is watching and feel like a bafoon. Just sayin..

I am always under duress posting here, especially when my smilies don't work, fix it Android.: ( please

I am certain RH's 🤬🤬🤬🤬/texting habits preceded his visit to Atlanta. Most men with these issues start young and carry them into their marriages (at least, that's what I learned from the churchgoing sex-addicts group). I wonder, however, if he was using Kik or Skout back in Tuscaloosa? The move from Tuscaloosa to Atlanta removed him from his family network and provided him with a broader range of anonymity and lack of accountability. His family and brother weren't there, and, like many young people in flux, his identity became more fluid.

Sociologists often draw relationships between addictive behaviors increasing after moves to big cities. I think RH would have done better to stay in his hometown, where grandparents and extended family and friendship networks would have helped him and LH with CH and where he wouldn't have been able to drift quite so much into doing whatever suited his fancy.

I think this is a struggle for many young people (though certainly not for all of them).

Whatever our loyalties to our hometowns, sports teams, whatever, we should be able to discuss their differences without identifying with a city in a way that renders comment or discussion impossible. I'm one of those strange gypsies that lacks any loyalty to towns or cities- my only loyalty is to people. I apologize if I have offended anyone who feels strongly about Atlanta. I was just trying to look at the environmental differences that might trigger latent drives or behaviors.

So let's just assume that every city is different, and that people from smaller towns where strip clubs are illegal might have their imaginations excited by what they find in a big city. It might give us insight.

Atlanta ranked no.1 for human trafficking: A new federal study says Atlanta had the country's largest sex trade.

Atlanta sees 79 percent increase in rape cases :And an explanation remains elusive

Honestly, I really don't think it would have mattered.

This is a personality problem, he is clearly a narcissistic sociopath. There is a saying: "Wherever you go there you are". His wife, son, parents, grandparents, siblings, etc are not even a concern to him. He is a walking facade and lives a double life. One does not need to move to a city to do that. He does what he wants when and how he wants to do it.

Ross would have done this and had this predilections wherever he lived.

I totally hear you about environment as it always effects us. The only reason that I do not believe that this is the case here is that we really do communicate and connect in different ways now. The amount of technology, smart phones and chat and hook up apps are astounding. We are not as "place oriented" as we were even a decade ago.

We engage with people in many many "non place" communities (this is one). Right on his phone, he has the tools to meet up with, chat with, and engage with as many women as he wants near or far. Atlanta does not have anything to do with it other than maybe providing him with more women to choose from...but the women do not even have to be local to sext them etc. He could be engaging with women across the country as well, and probably was as it was likely safer for him as far as getting caught. That is the very beauty of technology: The ability to Connect with others like never before.

I would also like to add, that I live in one of the biggest and most overstimulating cities in the world. New York City. The one that never sleeps. I grew up in the burbs and have lived here now for 14 years. I can tell you that you are who you are wherever you are. Cities may provide you with more people to interact with, more things to do at all hours, but so do smart phones and the internet.

Also, did you ever notice that some of the darkest killers, rampage shootings, etc do not necessarily occur in urban cities but rather in suburban areas. I only point that out because I find it erroneous to blame dark behavior on "living in a city".

Dark human behavior is everywhere and living in suburbia will not cure it and moving to a city will not create it. :moo:

New commenter, thanks for having me.

Some questions and comments:

Have any of the sexting partners talked? My original theory before I thought the mother was involvedwas that he had met someone online who told him they wanted nothing to do with children. Kind of a Susan Smith type of situation.

Secondly, why is basically no information coming out about LH as far as what she has been doing for the last 15 years? Most couples of that age are all over social media. Her presence seems very...non-existant.

Finally, and I am sorry if it has been explained in the previous 800 pages, but wasn't the testimony that he spent 4000 to buy frequent flyer miles? A, how does that work, and B, why would he need the miles? Going somewhere?

And a comment. I think they have enough to arrest LH, but are playing their cards close to the vest. I think they believe she is the mastermind who played him. I think he is hearing from his guards comments along the lines of "Man, y'all did this and she is out living her life while you're stuck in here" They want him to turn.

The problem with that is Casey googled "foolproof suffocation" shortly before Caylee was murdered. Work times were checked and corroborated regarding Cindy and George's work schedule during the exact time of that search. Cindy also perjured herself on the stand about the chloroform search they were both at work, during both searches.

Casey did those searches and premeditated the murder of her child. Either that or she is psychic and has the worst luck in the world. Just like RH.

I AM positive I know how Caylee died- Casey chloroformed her, then duct taped her mouth and nose shut. There was duct tape all over her face. This was no coincidence or pool drowning. What a load!!!
