Hmm...
Daycare stating the father called to say child wouldn't be there?...
Deleted/ unreturned messages from daycare and or wife?

IMO daycare would have been one of the first places contacted.

Good idea!

That is why I think he might have put the object (cell phone) in his car. Day care and his wife was calling asking where Cooper was. He went to his car and saw him there and left his phone in the car because he wasn't going to answer or return the calls. Then he google searched hot cars and animals. jmo

Bingo!

good idea!
Yes, favorite toy or blanket, but who would know it was in the car when it shouldn't be other than dad?
Ok. he didn't pick him up so he wouldn't have the diaper bag.
Unless they didn't use one to and from.
I kept my kids cubbies stocked at that age. No diaper bag, but I often brought home dirty clothes etc.
I also got a daily report of diaper changes, naps and food eaten.

I brought lunch (in Tupperware) for my kids --- was thinking his lunch kit was in the car

Maybe Ross not only dropped off "an item" in the car at lunch time...,but also got in the car and ran some type of errand... Or went to buy lunch?

video surveillance somewhere would show this probably...

Just brainstorming again....

(Note: After all this brain storming... My head is starting to look something like this: :stormingmad: :giggle:

I better go to sleep....I'll be sleuthing with y'all tomorrow! :websleuther:)

A fabricated story to co workers or wife about dropping Cooper off at daycare.

I read dad was irate when on phone with mom,
Irate?
what did she do to tick him off ?
I just see a very selfish man here.
I have also seen reports that mom fed him at home? Maybe dad just had the munchies?

I guess Cooper could have been asleep when he buckled him in.

became irate during a phone call at the scene to his wifeLeanna during which he told her. our baby is dead'.

another question I have... Which was spurred on by a comment in the FB page...

Could Ross have mad other stops between his home and his work other than Chik-fa-lay (sp?)

example... Could he have taken another child along with his own son in the car that morning?

could he have dropped off that other child and his/her car seat at the day care center... And NOT dropped off his own son?

Just brainstorming here...

all...just ideas... NO PROOF

Could be wrong, but I thought I remembered LE confirming there was no other child in the car. Too late to attempt and find a link on that!

If he had actually told him what to say, it would be coaching. He did not, he told the husband to tell the wife what is going on. He never instructed the husband in what words or phrases to use, which would be coaching.

I think we can safely move on. No one was standing over him putting words in his mouth. It's getting a bit silly

Eta: quoted the wrong statement. Not sure how that happened, sorry

That's the moment that Pierce decided he was going to teach this man a lesson and all of this exploded.

Speculation:

Pierce: call your wife

Harris: oh God! I've killed our child! Honey I ...oh God...

Pierce: calm down and just tell her what happened!

harris|. Honey...oh God!... I did it! I killed him!

Pierce: tell her what happened!

harris: you need to shut the f##k up

Pierce: what did you say? You need to watch your mouth!

harris: you need to shut the hell up!

Pierce: handcuff him!

And the rest goes down in the annals of "hard on for Harris" history.

It also means to "prompt or encourage".

bbm

MOO based on what I think I might have said to him at that point

would have made a sailor blush and he would have been shocked by the depth of my outrage? I would not have sounded demure or ladylike she probably cussed him out ((I would have screamed into the phone)) --- truthfully, maybe he was stunned that his wife was 'tearing him a new (fill in the blank)" and he wasn't used to that (MOO)

First off, he never told the man WHAT to say, period. Second, they cuffed him when he was in the way. Third, civilians do not have the right to tell LE to shut up at a crime scene. A cop has the right to say that and stay in control of the scene. Lastly, proof?

I get that you seem to think they are railroading this guy, but there is no coaching or out to get him here. This is a highly charged and emotional scene, with thing already not adding up, and the guy was hysterical. This is not a conspiracy against this dude.

I think they may have subdued him because he was such a loose cannon under the circumstances....
