I guess I missed that he actually stated when I only saw 'recently' which could mean anything but if it was days before...case closed AFAIC.

Like I said an earlier post, it would depend when the websearches were conducted - if days before yes, this was premeditated, if that same day there's a small chance he just needed to confirm the worst or maybe get some hope against hope when he remembered he'd left Cooper.
Seems like the reporters sources were stellar!!!

If he did google "how long" and I was on the jury I would convict in a heart beat.
No one that is concerned about forgetting their kid/dog in the car would google "how long until death"! They would google ways to prevent it!
BTW I have googled it a few times because my dog rides with me a lot, there are no dependable alarms to tell you when you left an animal or child in a hot vehicle, the only dependable systems are designed to monitor the car temp with the a/c on and respond IF the temp goes too high and presents a danger to the occupants.
Even the high end police K9 systems only have a beeper that says "REMOVE CANINE FROM CAR" as a reminder when the system is shut off. One would think even parents could set a reminder on their cell phone to do the same thing.
The arrest warrant says he put him back in the car seat at Chik-fil-a. So he must have taken him out of the car, right? That's one of the first things I was looking for -- whether he drove through.
Do you think LE had radio mics open and/or cams to video this interaction with JH?
LE isn't going to get the wording wrong in a SW request.
Really want to know what day care told LE.
Doesn't this constitute premeditation? Was he conducting an experiment or something? How horrible and disturbing. JMO
Maybe his wife went to daycare to pick her son up, found he wasn't there.
Called husband who didn't answer his phone.
Got really worried, if it's true she usually picked up @ 2:00....

We had a k9 die in the patrol car because the police car stalled.happened in my county a few years ago.
I would say it constitutes premonition, not premeditation. The fact that he volunteered this information up, freely -
I'm amazed at how many people do seem to "sense" ahead of time a disaster. He knows his brain and he knows he's forgetful.
I think this is no more than an eery sense of foreboding. People sense danger. He knew he was able to forget like this.

On the day Cooper died, Harris stopped for breakfast at a fast-food restaurant and afterward strapped his son into a rear-facing child restraint seat on his SUV's back seat, police said.

Sorry but I disagree. If he "sensed oncoming disaster" he would google possible ways to prevent it, not google "how long it takes to cause death".
Preventing would be key, NOT how many hours until death occurs!
What friends was he meeting up with after work? how long was that planned? How often did he meet up with friends after work?
