I can see it. I just don't know if it's a reflection or a photo that was taped onto the lamp. It looks more like a taped photo to me, but I do see what appears to be her face. You can see a face, hair and possibly glasses.

I cropped the image:

Can you see it now?

Thanks. Like I said, I see no camera. Can you circle it for me?

On many of these true crime shows they refer to the "Mormon Divorce." A Mormon divorce refers to the way some Mormons feeling they can't get a divorce will actually murder their spouse. It's odd how many murders happen in the Mormon church IMO.

Very religious people are often not very sincere in their beliefs but feel indoctrinated into the faith and simply can't see a way out of their lives without a miraculous intervention that changes everything.

Most people would say "But surely murder is worse than divorce???" but time and time again they find that the person just could not figure out a way out of what they didn't want anymore and decided they'd try to get away with murder. It makes absolutely no sense to me at all. But not everyone is strong enough to stand up to their beliefs...

This is what I think as well. I've been following along here for the duration and collecting my thoughts. This guy seems guilty to me from what we know so far. As to motive, I am also thinking it is somehow connected to religious beliefs in this case.

I am very familiar with evangelical/fundamentalist Christianity. I grew up steeped in it and have a whole slew of family still in it. From looking at RH's social media footprint, his adherence to an evangelical kind of faith seems pretty superficial. It's his wife who is gung ho, as far as I can tell. RH uses language that a committed evangelical Christian would not use (the F word among others). He talks about conservative Christian political issues with some fervor, but otherwise there is very little language about a personal faith at all.

But he is smack dab in a large community of supporters who claim him as one of their own. He has a place and an identity there that is superficial, but must be important for him for appearances sake or for the marriage. I suspect he may be living in two worlds and feels trapped.

JMO!

Leanna Harris has become a person of interest in an ongoing police investigation after her husband, Justin Ross Harris, discovered their 22-month-old son, Cooper, dead in the backseat of his car after he told cops he had forgotten to drop the boy off at day care before going to work.

We know that children are not supposed to be left unattended in cars. Knowing that, why were these people researching how long a child could be left unattended in a hot car before the child was dead? I can't think a any good reason for wanting this information.

"Police search warrants show that both Ross and Leanna Harris had searched online looking for information regarding what internal car temperatures could cause child deaths. Both Leanna and Ross said they conducted this research because they were afraid it could happen to their son. The time at which this topic was researched is still unclear."

Yes and I said this on the previous thread - he probably had to adjust the driver's seat backward due to his height - this would put his head very near the back of the car seat as it was in the middle of the back seat. I'm picturing their two heads within 12 inches of one another....

It all just defies any innocent explanation (imho).

Yes! ^ ^ ^^

We discussed this on a previous thread. You know they will use "dummies" for a visual to show how close RH was to sweet little Cooper and his car seat

you can see the mom clearly in the lamp reflection -- can't see camera but it's right angle suggesting she's trying to capture photo of two people she loves deeply........her newborn and the man she loves....makes me sad
Seeing her reflection gave me the same impression as you. The 2 people she loved most. Makes me sad as well. :(

I think it could be the rectangle shape I circled in black:

She could have been holding a cell photo next to her face area to take the photo.

I am on "vacation" at my mother in law's and she has a Hyundai Tucson. They are not large SUV's by any means. I have a Subaru Forester and they are similar in size inside. Just a little larger than a car really.

Although Cooper was still rear facing, he had to be in a larger size car seat since the "infant" size only go to 20 lbs I think. Those seats are huge!!! especially when rear facing. My husband is 6'4" and when he drives his mom's car, the seat is all the way back. JRH's right arm would almost be touching that car seat.

And the question about how many car seats the family had. They are such a pain in the rear to install, I can't imagine they would go thru installing/uninstalling everyday. I'd rather give up food for a week than have to go thru that.

I am sure they had 2 car seats. They had a zillion expensive electronic items. So they had some cash to spend. And everyone has extra car seats to hand down to friends with new babies. I would be very surprised if they only had one.

I can see it. I just don't know if it's a reflection or a photo that was taped onto the lamp. It looks more like a taped photo to me (because of its more perfectly square appearance), but I do see what appears to be her face. You can see a face, neck hair and possibly glasses, though that is hard to say for sure. What I can't see is her smiling or anything like that. It's too grainy to note the expression on her face.

I see a picture attached to the lamp.

I 100% agree with your comments. That's why I don't take my opinions very seriously. But I have looked at several other photos. For some people who look at the mug shot they have no sympathy and judge his appearance.

I have the opposite reaction. I actually feel sympathetic. A friend of mine works with sociopaths and points out that not all of them do criminal things, and functioning in life can be hard for someone who is a sociopath by not driven by ambition. Sociopaths can get depressed as well. I don't think he did this out of some sadistic glee. I think he did it out of desperation and depression. IMVHBO

there are many facets to the same puzzle and we are all going to have different perceptions --- individually they may mean ''nothing'' but cumulatively they lead somewhere. When I look at that photo with he baby on his chest I get an immediate visceral response. When I discovered minutes later thanks to others that the mother was in fact the photographer from what we can tell it validated my initial ''gut'' reaction. We all have it and together we can put together some sort of sense of this situation.

I don't doubt for a minute that this young mom was madly in love with this guy but it makes me sad to see a side of him that that lovely young woman can't see because ''she loves him so much''.

and it's not because I am not that smart -- I just see it differently

I'm not trying to convince you. Other people see it clearly. It's ok if you don't. It's meaningless.

I'm trying to find the episode for you that used the term Mormon Divorce so you won't think I'm making things up.

But seriously Jodia Arias, Ted Bundy, Doug and Faylene Grant, Mark Hacking, and that's just off the top of my head. Almost half of every show I've seen on dateline or 48 hours is about a mormon murder.

Raven Abaroa, Josh Powell.

I have heard the term too. Told to me by a Mormon friend. I don't think it is insulting. Just a cultural meme.

I think some ado comes from folks not realizing GA does not have "criminally negligent homicide", like other states do.

Stop messing with my old brain K :)

I only had under 20 lb kids in rear facing carseats hitting my backrest ( aging myself here)- but there was definitely a difference in how that felt when they were in it or not.

I remember my kids would squirm and kick - not only when they were unhappy but just full of energy or whatever. I'm guessing - looking at the photos - that if Cooper moved around much at all, it would jostle the front seat, too. Which was *right beside* dad's head. Unless he immediately fell into a sound sleep 1 1/2 minutes after eating breakfast - at 9 a.m.

I have taught 2 year old Sunday School for many years - They range from 20 months up to 30 months. They come in at 9:30 a.m. and leave around noon. I have *NEVER* had one of them fall asleep or even act sleepy at that time of day. They are full of themselves - even the ones with slight colds/sniffles. Healthy 2 year olds are very active when awake.

Thank you so much for that DD. I see what everyone was saying now. The camera looks huge compared to her head but maybe the curvature of the lamp is causing it.
