Wonder how long it will take to his family to realize what theyre doing isnt working, and release what information they have to the public?
I wonder if LE is coaching them as far as what to say and what to stay quiet about.

I don't want to believe this is a suicide, but I've found that there's often this kind of silence when friends and family suspect it.

Interesting observation.

I think it's possible that his job is a red herring. People read that he works at the CDC, and he didn't get the promotion he wanted, and it's instantly sensationalized. It's great that his job has likely helped his case get more exposure, but it's possible it's mostly unrelated to whatever has happened to him.

There's something...a little off about the way that the car was parked in that garage.

Could someone explain their take on the way the car was parked. What do you see in the picture?

The only thing odd I see about the garage is that he's actually able to park in it because it's not filled with crap.

I can see boxes partially on the other side. However, I find it odd that the veh is backed in. His garage is not facing a road etc, that I feel would warrant him having to bag into the garage. Maybe this is how he parks, though.

So I was actually in Chamblee on Friday. This is a very wooded area. One thing that has baffled me the entire case, and someone actually hit on this in thread 1, was how calm his parents is. As a parent, I can attest that you know your child and you know when something is wrong. They are calm to me. Not to mention, they are ALWAYS together, I havent seen his parents shed one tear. Now with that everyone handles things differently, and I in no way are speaking negatively. It just makes me believe that certain behaviors may be understood as common by him. Again, being someone in the area, ALOT of the searches and information are not made public knowledge until after the fact. Its odd. I understand he is a government official etc etc, however its very odd.

I recently bought a new car.
The automatic tailgate lift opens the back so high it hits the garage door above it. I back in now after too many dinks.
Maybe similar situation? Or for weather/battery purposes of is easier to drive out fast?
We need his routine.

His parents did not mention in any interviews that the car being backed in the garage being out of character. The only reason I can think that he backed in the garage is because his house and a couple of other houses have a shared driveway and then there’s a small area that branches off to the 2 car garage at Tim’s home and his neighbor’s home. He may back in to prevent possibly colliding with his neighbors or if they have young children possible backing over them.

I noticed that too, but chalked it up as people handling situations differently. In the CNN interview the mother is breathing very heavily to the point where you can see her chest rise & fall. It could be just the way she breathes or maybe she’s just nervous. I know if I disappeared my mother and stepfather would be such a mess sobbing uncontrollably that you wouldn’t be able to understand one word they said. This is why I’m convinced they know exactly what happened and why, but don’t know his whereabouts.

This makes sense. Now this makes me wonder if there was anything in his trunk that he needed to take out. I wonder what the condition of his office was like. I know they mentioned alot about what was left at his home. But I wonder if any items where taken from his job.

Everyone is different. I don't think my parents would cry in front of cameras. I actually can't imagine my dad even agreeing to speak with the media, to be honest.

And afterwards. There is a book called." my son, my son" which I try to recommend and or give to everybody I know that has someone close to them commit suicide.

Everyone deals with it in their own way. And one woman who had a son commit suicide dealt with it by helping others. I have found the most recent of the six family and friends and others that I know ...they are now talking about it more. . It is something to speak up about, if the family is strong.. imo.

Sadly with so many people disappearing off the face of the earth without a trace, I recently have told my family and my boyfriend who lives in another state that if I ever turn up missing please know I just didn’t walk away because I’d never just leave voluntarily no matter how bad life gets. I know it would kill my mother & stepfather literally, but I told all 3 of them so God forbid it happens that they waste no time getting the police involved. It’s such a sad situation.

From the photo that has been posted here, it appears that it is a two car garage. And it is a divided two car garage because in the reflection you can see the carrier that is centered above his car. And therefore it is a two entry garage versus a one door garage.

Ok, so his family has been very vocal, neighbors have made statements, coworkers, college classmates... And there's lots of pictures of him with family and colleagues...

Have any friends made statements? Has anyone seen any pictures of him in a social social setting? Any informal pics with people who are not relative, coworkers, or college friends?

I've dig around SM, but I just keep finding family, people he works with, or one-off relationships, like "my friend's brother is missing," or "I went to college with this guy.'

I have the impression that he is quite socially isolated. He seems to have a lot of acquaintance type relationships, and he's obviously very active in the community, but there don't seem to be any really close friends. I mean, he's well known, there's a lot of pictures of him... But none hanging out at a bar, no backyard BBQs, nothing informal except with family. He does keep his SM presence locked down, but other people don't, and you would think there would be some social pictures popping up.

Has anyone seen any evidence at all of a social life?

Social isolation is a big risk factor for depression.
